Davis isn't a terrible footballer, although usually he isn't particularly good. I wasn't passing judgement on him anyway, merely pointing out how Southampton will line up next season.

We'd need a replacement for modric and we still have other needs like a winger and less imprtantly, a goalkeeper for when friedel retires. Who could we get thats significantly better than adebayor anyway?

Couldn't run the length of himself.

He played up front towards the end of last season, due to injuries etc & scored 5 goals. But yeah, Craig Beattie joined on trial today so he could slot back into CM.

Example of one of his goals last season, he scored better but they're not on youtube.
