Re: Official Rugby League Thread
I actually don't think the RFL did massively influence the people there as even when I went there 3 years ago they had a load of fans and it has grew even bigger now.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Yeah but they made all sorts of concessions about the players they were allowed and even got rid of relegation for them when that existed. If a team like Widnes had had that sort of support from the RFL maybe they'd be in that sort of position.

Did you happen to see the game? I hear there was a controversial call about a conversion that possibly went over for Widnes but wasn't given. Just wondering if it did go over or not.

I see what you mean but they also bent over backwards for Crusaders and look where that ended up..
BBC Radio Humberside are so bias towards Hull KR.

Yeah I don't mind Catalan. They're a lot better than London. Maybe because they don't have much competition for support, they're fans can't really support anyone else (I think, not sure about union there).
Hope tonight's game is good, obviously hoping for a Catalan win.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
I don't get to many games as I live just outside Scunthorpe but I do go to about 4 home games normally a season when I visit my relatives over there. I also go to away games nearby such as Hull FC, KR, Cas, Leeds and Huddersfield. I didn't hear anything about that Widnes conversion, but I did hear about a blatant Saints try that was ruled out. I was talking to a Widnes fan who also said that the ref was a bit unfair on Saints for some things.Zzonked wrote:Trent wrote:Don't know what to make of todays performance. At least we won. Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Even St Helens fans said that conversion went over but I have also heard about this try that you should have had.
On BBC Radio Humberside they said about a conversion which shouldn't have been given for us as a reason to why Hull Kr lost.
As for Catalans the rugby union team are very big there (Perpignan) but rugby league has a gained a lot more interest and could possibly eclipse it there.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Seems to be Bradford's day of fate today, I hope they get a six point deduction as we would have a better chance of reaching the playoffs.

Catalan have a game in hand and if they win it they would have only been a point behind Wigan as opposed to Warringtons 2 points. Not the worst thing all around that they lost, though I do still feel Warrington are the second best team and could easily beat Wigan on their day.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Really hope Warrington lose their semi-final, I reckon they'd beat Wigan in the final if it ended up there. I couldn't handle going all the way to London and watching Warrington win.
Assuming we even beat Leeds. If we lose I don't really care who wins it.

I hate Warrington with a passion, the smugness of their fans makes me sick.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
I do think they easily have the worst fans in super league. One of my mates is a Warrington fan though and he's a nice guy.

Not going to lie Wigan have some of the most smug fans as well (apart from you ) but Warrington beat you as I actually remember the days they were shit.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
A bit gutted really but we have no money and players will always come and go with Salford, I would rather be a feeder club then a retirement home.
I don't blame Matty Smith for going as Wigan are a bigger club but Hull KR are not in my honest opinion.

Is he good? (Gleeson)
I think you've got some money, seem to be signing a few players recently.

Not often, but the standard is much better than in England. You can tell that from about 5 minutes of watching it.
Find it funny when they manage to find the worst picture of a player you've ever seen for an article on BBC.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
I watch a little bit of NRL. I've just realised that I said I supported the Broncos a weeks back for some reason. I support the Sharks, no idea why I said the Broncos.
