Re: Chat Thread
Hey Bogdan, I came looking specifically for you, I have just got back from Florida on holiday and while I was there I went on one of the rides in the Disney parks and there were these two Canadian lads sat behind me, when we went over like a little drop, one of them shouted "play better" and I was convinced it was you.

I liked how he said he spoke to some pretty big names in football, and it showed Jermaine Jenas.

It's like that thing where it said that they were going to reveal a big name that did drugs or something, and it was Gary O'Conner

True, but all these documentaries are the same. Doesn't really tell us a great deal, and doesn't actually talk to "big" players.Ted wrote:Danny wrote:That homophobia one too, bugged player the girl got to talk to was Joey Barton.

Re: Chat Thread
I don't think the fact John Barnes is black has helped him after his playing career, but has he sat back and considered he isn't really a great manager?

Re: Chat Thread
They always bring up the stat that there is only 3 black managers in the 4 English leagues, I wonder how many black managers have actually applied for these jobs.

Re: Chat Thread
The fact is Barnes was shite at Celtic and Ince was shit at Blackburn, fuck all to do with race. I dont genuinely believe that everyone involved at the top of football clubs is racist.

Re: Chat Thread
That Chris Powell is doing a good job at Charlton. The thing is, most of the managers are about 40/50/60 and when they got into the management business was about 20/30 years ago, and you could say that the world was more racist back then and so all the established managers who are getting the jobs because of their experience and CV are white. Obviously there will be more black managers in the future as there will be a new wave of managers when all the older ones start retiring

I don't remember the guy's name, but he never got a chance at a club even though he went to numerous interviews at all the different levels. He had all his badges and constantly was overlooked in favor of candidates who were often less qualified.
You guys might like to dismiss it, but this is an issue.
