Doesn't it slightly worry you that he's on the verge of sack at the team that won the Champions League last season?

Why though?
It's like his reputation has gained since leaving because Hodgson is even worse and makes him look good.

Because I trust him at Liverpool, I never wanted him sacked to start with.

Because you're a deluded scouser.
No but seriously, I just think he didn't replace Alonso properly.. but I suppose now you have money spend he could bring in the right players.
I think he was sacked way too early.

Aquilani is ripping it up in Serie A, I think he could have been Alonso's replacement. But this is all in the past I guess, no point discussing it now as it just makes me depressed.

I don't think Aquliani is like Alonso, but he's a quality player, okay the conversation stops here boss.

Aquilani was/is not Alonso. And we don't have Masch to do the dirty work for Aquilani anyway. Aqui is feeble in the challenge, however good he may be with the ball.
I don't watch enough foreign football but I don't know of any other play like Alonso.
Apart from me, but I'm criminally underrated.

Poulsen can do the dirty work.

You've not seen him recently for Juve. He's been winning plenty of tackles.

Durrrr. Forgot about Gerrard. Gerrard can replace Alonso. And I think he will when his legs start to go.

I find that very hard to believe, but I will take your word for it.

Not Masch style tackles obviously, but he's been winning more than losing.

Yes. Basically, we got rid of Poulsen for them and gave them Aquilani for free.
