    Inter Milan Empty Inter Milan

Post by chiboygeorge Thu Sep 01, 2011 1:38 pm

With the signings the made this window, they are the team I really think have the best chance to beat Barcelona...I mean look at their signings, Forlan, Zarate, Poli, and the depth they have in each position is not actually fair to rest of Serie A. Neutral

    J. Cesar
    Zanetti - Samuel - Lucio
    Maicon - Cambiasso - Motta - Zarate
    Sneijder
    Forlan - Pazzini

Subs: Ranocchia, Phillipe Coutinho, Alvarez, Castaignos, Milito, Nagatomo, Jonathan, Stankovic, Muntari, Poli, Cordoba

This team is so versatile in many ways, containing players that can play in numerous positions. Inter will have success this season because of the depth, in defense you can have Ranocchia who has gained much experience, or even Cordoba. Nagatomo and Jonathan can fill in on the wing positions as wing backs, or fullbacks and you also have classy midfielders like Stankovic, Coutinho and Poli.

I will be really surprised if they don't win Serie A this season....they should go far in CL as well.

    Your thoughts?

Never heard of Poli, and from what I hear Zarate is overrated. But Forlan is a top signing for 4m.

They missed out on Gabriel Torje who went to Udinese. Perfect replacement for Sanchez right there and probably another 30m euros for them in a few seasons...

Their defence doesn't have the solidity it used to have and that midfield isn't one I'd call special.I back Pazzini to score shitloads of goals this year; can't say the same about Forlán.

Overrated as in how? he's a very good hardworking winger. 10 goals in league last season was very good return I say for him.

That formation doesn't work that way, if you study it, it's more like a 6 players back when defending...people often mistake this formation as too attacking but it's actually balanced if you have the quality kind of players like Inter to operate it. Look at Napoli, used a similar style all last season and were brilliant.

I think Serie A is perfect now for Forlan. Might stick some money on him being stop scorer with Maicon and Sneijder creating the chances.

Real can't defend... You see Chelsea in the CL a two or so years ago? They were going to knock them out in the semi finals after a great performance holding them out and limited Barca to 1 shot on target and sadly that was in the 90th minute and went screaming into the top corner of the net. Still closer than Real have been...... Not to mention Chelsea had 3 blatant pens not given.

Also the majority of the Inter squad are 30+ so they would wear out quicker when they play Barcelona because they would have to chase the ball

Anyway I still think Milan will finish above them this year because they have Ibra.

I havnt seen much of him, but most discussions I see about him alot of people say it, and they say he overrates himself alot too.

I think they do, Lucio is still a beast, Ranocchia is an upcoming monster, then you have Cordoba and alsoSamuel returning.

Loving the Roma side this season with the new signings.

Pjanic, Gago, Borini, Bojan, Kjaer, Stekelenburg, Osvaldo, Lamela, Heinze and Jose Angel.

Scary, I just have a feeling that Zarate won't be successful there. He is a forward and putting him on the wing in a 3-5-2 formation would be stupid.

    1) Inter won unfairly against Barca.
    2) That was 2 years ago with Jose Mourinho. We are talking about right now. Real have improved, Inter have not.

The formation functions with atleast one pure winger and one shuttle winger. Zarate will provide more going forward that Nagatomo or Coutinho...only option there is Joel Obi. Zarate won't be advised to defend a lot as Inter has two central defensive mids in Cambiasso and Motta to do that job.
