I blame the media. They build England up too much. No expectation = no disappointment. Media build them up to be one of the favourites to win = big disappointment when they don't. I think people have caught on so they distance themselves from the NT.

This year the media hasn't really put too much expectation on the team, thus meaning we should do better.

All the time we say "Blame the media". Fucking blame yourselves for putting faith into a nation with such overrated players. How we are 6th in the world is beyond me. This year the media haven't built up shit.

A bit of a fallacy really. The media have been pretty vocal about the "lack of expectations leading to better performances." Sure there's no expectations for England to win the Euros, but there sure is an expectation that England will do well because of the so called lack of expectations.

If England do win the Euro's, I have a strong gut feeling that a few Liverpool fans on here will explode and think their players won the Euro's. (Unless one the players actually gets the winning goal or goal line clearance etc.)
