That manner of speaking in my opinion is irritating. It's like having someone talk down to you, maybe in a professional setting it's appropriate but I don't think it's appropriate here. It's one extreme like the "lol bussin'" Pauldinho was talking about but flipped around.

It's almost condescending. My rule of thumb is speak to your audience.

For example, if I'm in the hood with my boys, I'm going to throw around a lot of "dawgs" "homeboys" and "foo'" but I'm not going to write to my professor like that.

Rubbish. I seek out people that act, think, and write like I do. It's not as if Eternal, Danno, etc. were uneducated Jelas when I arrived. They wrote coherently. It just so happens that because there is a negative "act" stigma attached to me that these people are accused of being my "followers," which is flattering, but absolute rubbish. I did not teach them how to speak English, I will have you know.

Even though Glen has an act, it's one I can appreciate. He is a very entertaining and funny fellow. It's a fresh breathe air compared to the ones like Jela, Forest, etc.

I'm retiring now, so I agree on a truce. Che's maturity is too much to overcome.

Agreed. Glen's act provides wholesome clever entertainment. The concept of hugging the nut of a right back in itself makes me laugh. Not that there's anything wrong with right backs

I can't. It separates us as people. I'm a person and he's a character. So, anything he says or does is hard to take serious.

I'm genuinely sorry you feel that way.

I'm being serious and don't mean it as a catty response.(It's hard to differentiate in writing.)

Although, I want to say I don't think a "truce" is necessary. I'm not at war with you or dislike you or anything. I'm not even arguing with you, I'm just giving out my opinion.

Although, to be fair that is where I went wrong.

You know that saying, "An opinion is the lowest form of knowledge, it requires no accountability, no understanding."

Ironically, I liked both of them.

Didn't like certain things about them though. Which is probably why I was more vocal about their transgressions.

Glen isn't a character. He occasionally acts differently as a joke and it's pretty obvious when he does it. Most of the time he's quite serious about his beliefs.

It didn't seem like you liked Polska much.

Which is actually quite often. That's what I mean by act. It's sometimes hard to tell if he is joking or being serious. I actually don't have much against his beliefs whether he truly believes in them or not.

My beliefs are generally similar to yours, fundamentally, so I wouldn't have thought you would hold that against me.

Not as often as you think. Usually he just acts like a slightly distorted version of himself. It all stems from his real persona, though.

I liked him. I didn't like his narrow views and intolerant opinion. Just like I like you but don't like some of your narrow views too. Of course, if they were more extreme I'd probably abhor both of you.
