That episode wasn't that great. Time to start reading the books. I think they've collected enough dust.

That entire season wasn't great.

I was already devastated by the end of season one.

There are a couple of things that happened in this episode that I don't think happened in the books. (Other than the stuff that deviated before.) I'm not sure which ones though.

Did Varys really talk to Shae?

Ygritte and Jon didn't meet again until the battle at Castle Black, no?

Did Sam really meet Brann?

I have 400 pages left, I'll get back to you in a few days.

The ending disappointed me, I trust you remember how ASOS really ended..

Every episode with Theon is terrible.

Whelp. They managed to make the finale boring. Just the one little game-changer. Stannis the exceptional. But so many unimportant, inconsequential scenes. This season has not delivered. One episode that really stood out, and I could take no satisfaction from it. What happens to the rest of the northern loyal forces better be damn believable, no way they were all just taken out in a campfire raid.

Good that they have to go ahead and tease another one. Poor Jon Snow.

Thank goodness they included Theon, I was dying to know what his new nickname would be.

Looking back, they really at up screen-time with this Bolton boy's fetish. I could bear it if it had a greater sense of direction. Even after the new reveal I still don't find the storyline engaging, not unless it adds to the greater picture. Same goes for every scene with the prostitute in, lame if she's just there to be Tyrion's weakness.

I just picked him as as my GoT character as well.

I hope my fellow wolves protect me. That last episode could prove to be a bad omen in regards to my Playmaker career.

How far into ASOS did this end at? Not sure I can rest on this finale, might be the thing that finally makes me a read-then-watch.

Theon's sister became a bit cooler this episode.

This was a good season.

Dany and Dracarys
Bran and Warging
Red Wedding
Bear and the maiden
Climbing the Wall
Jaimie's maiming + reveal about Aerys
etc.

Lot's of good stuff, the writers didnt do a good enough job with the final episode though, some... things were supposed to occur. The writers added too much fluff, if there is one season that can be put forward as a literal book to series translation it was this one. Ah well.

Too many filler episodes, fam.

A lot of unhappy feels you've listed there. That's part of my problem. Enthusiasm, diminished. Granted this was half a book, so I do expect a twist to the twist, but nothing this episode and it's dampening the overall mood.

That last scene seemed a little like a large-scale relief project. She needs to start killing people, or just badass stuff.

Nah. RW at ep 9 was good, keeps up with the tradition of episode 9 being a big event (Ned's death, Blackwater)

Well at least Brutus lives. Since he's now effectively the only person the forces of good can move towards. Assuming Blackfish doesn't have a real claim. If Stannis moves north, Tywin doesn't have much to do. The book title promised more than wedding butchery, just saying. Dany time maybe. Dany vs Tywin, Stannis and Co vs WW. Blood magic vs Dark magic doesn't sound quite right.
