Re: Game of Thrones Thread
First off I'm pretty sure Stannis was being held back by his men because he was trying to run back into battle because he saw all his men got fucked up.
Second I don't think Tyrion died, didn't seem that bad of a cut.
Third where the hell is the witch?

Jon Snow, Robb Stark, Sandor Clegane, Bronn, Jamie Lannister
Name them(in your opinion) in order of who you believe is the best swordsman/warrior.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
I don't ever even recall Robb actually fighting to be honest.
I'd say:
Sandor, Bronn, Jamie, Jon, Robb.
Jamie is supposed to be one of the best swordsmen alive but we've hardly seen him fight besides Nedd so it's kind of hard to say.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
I suppose we just have to assume that both Robb and Jamie are good swordsmen due to their reputation. Jamie has that reputation of apparently being the greatest swordsman in Westeros while Robb must have been a good swordsman to win so many battles, however that could mean he was just an extremely good tactician.

These battles aren't 1v1 duelling contests. Definitely the latter over the former. He's not some guy off Dynasty Warriors.

Jamie, Bronn, Clegane, Robb, Jon. Although Clegane isn't really technical from what I've seen, and Bronn is more of a brilliant 1v1 tactician.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
Obviously I didn't mean that Robb would march into battle and destroy entire armies by himself, but he must of been a decent swordsman to survive since he's constantly leading the attacks OR of course like I said he could just be a great tactician. Cleglane is actually most reminiscent of how swordsman fought back then. True he might not be too technical but he's obviously quite a monster when it comes to fighting just like Brienne Tarth.

Jamie > Sandor > Robb > Bronn > Jon
Robb, Jon and Jamie have all been trained by masters at arms. That's why I've put Robb above Bronn because he's just a hardman sellsword. Sandor is a massive kunt, plus he lives for killing so I reckon he'd come second.

Robb was trained for a long time by Ser Rodrik, he's probably got good technical skill from that.
Jamie says himself that only like 3 people could match him, so he's obviously got to go top.

The Hound is nearly as good as his brother, and Ser Barristan is probably the best technically. Want him to return.

I was wondering who those three were. I automatically think of Ser Barristan given the admiration he has for him. Maybe Robb because he did capture him. Tywin perhaps...the Clegaine brothers..Tyrell.all I can think of.

No way it's Robb, Robb caught Jamie by surprise.
It's Ser Barristan Selmy, Ned Stark (???) and ... someone else... third maybe

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
I thought Ned and Jamie fought quite equally. Also Jamie was pissed off at the soldier that interrupted, that must of been because he was enjoying himself. Ned could of been one of the three, afterall he and Robert had that massive reputation when they were younger.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
I think the second might be Ned too, maybe the mountain as well. He's said to be like 8 feet in the books. I don't know, seems we all have 1/3rd done but it's tough to guess the other two.

Wasn't Ned dead when he said it though? Obviously he did match up to Jaime. Him and Robert were the real deal back in the day.

Sounds like Robb's dog has killed more people than he has to be honest. Said somewhere that the direwolf had killed over 50 men, and that was early in the season.

Maybe the 3 that Jamie mentioned were: Ser Barristan, The Mountain, and maybe
Jeor Mormont from the Night's Watch, Stannis, or the Hound.
