Re: Brazil v Mexico
United fans keep saying that Hernandez's overall play is shit but everytime I see him for Mexico it's actually really good for a striker .

He shows a lot more of his game for Mexico than he does for United...I still don't like him

Lennon at times, or at least just spot Gio in to give some of the others a rest

Severo Meza, 3rd game he has ever played for Mexico, had Neymar and Marcelo in his back pocket all game. When Neymar tried to square up on him, he got dropped on his ass. Looks like we finally found a good RB.

He probably wouldn't get in above a Spurs regular on a consistent basis, but I can't believe he hardly ever gets a game there, considering they don't have the strongest of squads, certainly out wide and an alternative to VDV.Walcott wrote:Who you would drop to play him?fluffy_kittens wrote:how many fucking times does Gio Dos Santos need to score before Redknapp plays him

Moving to Spurs was probably the worst thing he's done in his career.

Re: Brazil v Mexico
I had my doubts about him(still think Guti earned that spot ages ago), but he's done pretty well. He's suprisingly solid for someone so scrawny. Would of been interesting seeing him up against a physically superior opponent like Bale.SophisticatedBeggar wrote:Severo Meza, 3rd game he has ever played for Mexico, had Neymar and Marcelo in his back pocket all game. On the other side of the pitch Torres Nilo deserves a bit of praise as well did great against the formidable Hulk.
Made a joke about him a while ago about him, "if I didn't know better I'd think Torres Nilo was English, more athlete than footballer." I still think that but he has his moments, like that run today for that Zavala chance.

Yeah Sandro is their main CDM now because Lucas is injured and Gustavo doesn't get picked for some stupid reason.Dr. Ján Ĩtor wrote:Splashy wrote:
That's not Brazil's strongest XI though.
Well, Sandro probably starts with lucas out right? He should start for us more.
And I agree he start more for Tottenham, much better overall than Parker imo.

Guti should have been the starter for a while now, but I've given up on Chepo giving him a chance. It seems that he is pretty content on leaving it between Meza and Jimenez. Nilo was very solid, and the times that Hulk was able to get past him we had Moreno waiting for him. The whole back line played their best game.
I think we put our best squad possible today. With the possible exceptions of Salcido playing in his regular spot, for now at least, and Jona D. Santos/Herrera next to Zavala, and Gio going out wide leaving his current spot for Marco Fabian.

Re: Brazil v Mexico
Yeah, this was probably our strongest squad with what was available. Also, it looks like Guillermo Ochoa is going to lose his starting spot to a veteran goalkeeper for a third consecutive World Cup cycle. Corona starting against Brazil puts no doubt in my mind that Chepo is going to stick with him unless there's an injury or he gets suspended(always a possibility with him. )
In other news.
Left to right: Lucas, Ganso, Hulk, David Luiz, Pato, Neymar.
This was made before the match. The cartoonist should go play the lotto.

We will have to wait to see who Chepo plays when we are away to El Salvador. If he goes with Ochoa, everything is still up for grabs. Chepo also needs to get Talavera out. Both Orozco and Palos deserve the spot more than Talavera.

Re: Brazil v Mexico
Talavera is Chepo's capriche. Every manager has one. It doesn't really bother me since I know he's never really going to play him. But yeah, one of those two should probably be the third keeper.SophisticatedBeggar wrote:We will have to wait to see who Chepo plays when we are away to El Salvador. Speaking of golkeeper. Heard what happen to Moises Muñoz? Got on a car accident. There are conflicting reports about his status(some say he's okay other's say he's in critical condition)
Always like him. Hated to see him go to America. Hope he's alright.

I agree but even when Lennon was injured for parts of last season, which is when we had a big dip in form, instead of playing Dos Santos in his place which was the obvious choice, Harry would instead but VDV, Modric, and Kranjcar on the wing and none of them are widemen.

He is not better then Parker or Modric, however I wouldn't mind seeing a 4-3-3 with Sandro, Parker, Modric in the midfield in the future. Sandro definitely has huge potential, last season he was the best player on the pitch against AC Milan and was also Chelsea and alot of other big matches as well. Hope we keep him for a long time.
