5th platinum pack, still not ultimate players got Andy Carroll this time as well so no longer far off making a side for the bpl elite. What are the rewards for basically having a shit team in the bpl elite? Is it hard? What are the lower end of the prize funds?

It's basically 1 1/2 times the pro league.

120pts = 1 Ultimate pack
114pts = 2 Platinum packs
108pts = 1 Platinum pack
99pts = 2 Gold packs
84pts = 45k
75pts = 37.5k
60pts = 30k
45pts = 22.5k
30pts = 15k
15pts = 7.5k

You also get 1750 after 5 matches instead of 1250.

but is the league harder?

No. Just your team isn't generally as good when you're restricted.

Its normal. I had open 29 packs now and no ultimate.

What are your thoughts on the defensive midfielders like Song, and de Jong? Is it worth starting them knowing that your goal is to score goals with the midfielders and these guys have terrible shooting stats?

To be honest I don't think it matters that much whether they are good at shooting (ideally they are better yes) as I think what is most important is overall player and team rating. It just tends to be the case that the more attacking midfielders are higher rated overall anyway in my experience. I don't think the game engine is complex enough to take that kind of small detail into account so I wouldn't play someone with a lower overall rating just because they had a higher rating for shooting stats. I would say formation is more important so just play attacking (I like 3-4-3 with mentality between neutral and attacking) with good strikers!

Exactly my thoughts.

I play Song in the MF with 3-4-3. He's 82 but that's the best I've got alongside Downing for the BPL.

Now that he has joined Barça it wouldn't surprise me if he steps up to 83/84 whenever EA updates this game.

6 more games to go, unbeaten so far in EPL Elite, got +2 trainer, every player has +5 equipment, 100 training for all the games with an overall rating of 92!! Com'on Ultimate Transfer come to daddy!!

Oh and Counter Attack equiped!

What a let down! No players to use and ANOTHER bloody ultimate Italian! Seriously EA update and add other leagues pleeease!!

I got a similar pack Mango, except I got Eto'o who will probably never be useful.

Other leagues with maybe different rewards like equipment pack, tactic packs etc?! a bit more "randomness" like the teams changing formation and squad.

Just havin a rant as I have sooooo many players who are useless, like others I'm sure.

Bizarrely I tend to just use Corner Chance if I don't have Pressure (1st choice) or Counter Attack (2nd choice). At one point I thought about buying unlimited Pressure but it's just not worth it as I have gone too far in the game already to get good use out of it and when you get Ultimate (or even Platinum) transfers for winning Elite leagues you get a load of free tactics for the next season (typically 25+ games worth) so you only need a few extras for the early easy games so I tend to just get Offside Trap and Corner Chance. Even more so because the tactics can only be sold for 250 each which is pretty much useless. The reason is that previously using Last Gasp Defence or Zona Mista I still lost or drew a few games whereas with Corner Chance (assuming you have great strikers) an extra shot can be a goal pretty often. Plus you can buy it with money unlike Zona Mista (big rip off Premium cash price). Last Gasp Defence is also ok I guess but I just prefer attacking chances than defending because most games my opponents don't have much possession / shots anyway

Thanks for the help guys. Based on my past experiences, corner chance was reliable unlike zone mista which gave me unexpected losses. Il let you guys know how well corner chance works once I finish my current league
