I checked the rules, all it does is reset my "attempt" count so that I can take the exam next year and still have 3 attempts to complete the exam. Worth fuck all really.

Random Course cause I dunno what the hell to do with my life, basically. My attempt to look at how difficult a masters is and if I wanted to bother with it. Considering I missed the exam I reckon that means that I subconsciously don't want to take that particular masters degree.

That's awful, Laurencio, this is why I check my exam time table every five minutes to make sure i'm not missing an exam.

My exam went okay, thanks for the 'good lucks' It was all 'how science works' questions which are piss easy.

I'm on this work placement which ends in a month...so I'm job hunting and have been invited to an interview tomorrow. I work 5 days a week but if I was away for the morning it wouldn't really matter....... there's barely anything to do where I work (hence why I'm on the forum now.....). So I explained to my manager that I wanted to go as whilst I'm not against the idea of staying, I'd like to keep my options open...... well that didn't go as well as I hoped

He's a nice guy but must've been like "Fuck's sake" in his heart. He will let me go, but he now wants me to be decisive and make a decision about whether I want to stay or not. For me......it's really hard as if the job role stays as it is....fuck this shit I'd leave. But this is a company in transition, it used to be quite big and busy but has shrunk...but could grow again. So if I stay I have the chance to work in a growing company and have access to all equipment which I can setup/play around with that in most roles I would not be able to do e.g. big expensive servers.

But ultimately for me I don't want to commit to a job that will probably for a while still be similarly shit and I have no way of knowing for sure if things will improve.

I have some interviews I'll probably be going to, as what I have learnt from here is getting me some replies....some experience definitely makes a lot of difference.

I'd stay because for all you know you might not get the job that you're going to the interviews for, but if he lets you go for an interview, and if you don't get the job you can go back, i'd go for it.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to throw a job away for a chance at a job. I have had a "you've pretty much got the job" experience before, been so happy and then I didn't get it

But he'll let me go to the interview without me having to leave...either way I will be staying until 15th June. But I'm thinking more on the lines of if I had another job offer.

This other job would be in London...so instead of 10 mins to get to it'll be 1 hour. I don't mind that too much, as I'm used to that and I should expect it in the future.

I just have to weigh up which one offers the better opportunity. Don't want to be stuck in some boring, restrictive job where I can't learnt anything new even if it pays more at the moment.

No point in gambling with your career, if you get a better offer then take it.

Tbh I was thinking about leaving at the end of the contract even if I had no offer elsewhere. Would allow me time to have a break, think about what I want to do....have a holiday maybe...then come back and look.

I knew after my interview that I didn't want to work here, I only did so as I had no other job option.
