Try losing it in the last minute of the final game, and losing it only by goals scored.

Last 4 performances have been so poor apart from the Villa game. What's missing? A leader. We needed Vidic so much.

It's stupid that GD is the first tie-breaker anyway. Head-to-head should be the first tie-breaker. I think it is in pretty much every other major European league. It's certainly a fairer assessment of which team deserves the nod. So you can rest assured that even if you do lose on goal differential, you also would have lost on head-to-head. Either way...

This just highlights the absurdity of the way we credit managers and players. If Manchester City don't drop points to Newcastle United, does that make Ferguson a worse manager than if they did? Of course not.

It's not bottling, we lost because Manchester City have a better team than us. It's a fucking disgrace the way Ferguson has let this team slide.

It's not Ferguson's fault that the team decided to go amateur in the last 7 minutes against Everton. That's the game we'll look back on if we do lose the title.

I thought Ferguson was supposed to a master motivator whose experience would prevent any amateur mistakes. It's easy to be a great manager when everything bad that happens you are absolved of responsibility and everything good that happens is down to your tactics or motivation.

Can you defend the midfield policy we've pursued in the last 3 or 4 years?

You'd expect a team with this experience in this time of the run in to see out a 2 goal lead at home

Buck stops with him, he buys the players, he send them out there, he takes the credit whenever they do well.

I've still not quite come to grips with how we drew against Everton. Not entirely sure how that happened, looked so comfortable, title looking pretty secure, and then as by a gust of wind, Everton hit back.
