yeah "arent everything".. i didnt say they dont matter
ronaldo finished with more LEAGUE GOALS then messi last season too, but messi ended with CL and league title. which proves the point of goals/assists arent be-all, end-allanyone who says ronaldo is better do not watch barca/madrid regularly thats for sure, cause anyone with ANY knowledge or understanding of football would see messi is better if they consistently watched both players

Because Messi is simply the better player. It used to be close a few years ago, but it's not a close contest anymore.
Also why does the fact that Real Madrid may win more "valuable" titles this season make Ronaldo a better player? We are comparing individual talents, not team performances.

Messi has seriously carried barca this season, 63 goals, next highest is xavi on 15 ffs, I think he'll be pretty pissed off that his team mates really just havent stepped up this season, teams have found it far too easwy to park the bus and make it so iniesta and xavi cant create anything, and the only chances are created when messi does something special. Another goalscorer and 2 defenders are certainly needed.

He didnt even have a great game either, scoring his one on one which was to be fair,a great movement and finish, was his only real contribution. The game was also massively suited to him, barca needed the win so was set up very attacking and gave ronaldo a ton of space on the counter.
