No way, I'm crap at physics so wasn't expecting an A* let alone an A. Everyone else was getting like C's and D's then I opened mine and was like fucking hell!

And no I wasn't at all. Barely revised tbh, and most people find my teacher quite shit, so if anything I was very unprepared.

This is all the motivation you should need to become a fantastic student, and even a bit like master Stephen Hawking. If you earn an A* without studying, what can you accomplish with revision? Big things are ahead for you, master Carlos.

I don't understand why when it's not our generation, common sense goes right out the window as soon as they try and use a computer.

I scan a picture for my mum, tell her clearly it's on the desktop, as I leave the room I hear her talking about how it's in 'my pictures' I go, no it's on the desktop mum. She calls me five minutes later and makes me physically point to where it is on the desktop, it's the only picture file on the desktop. This is all so she knows the name of it to attach it to an email, I mean fuck, it's the only picture on the desktop!

It only seems like a little things, but I don't understand why perfectly intelligent people decide to turn off their brain as soon as it comes to computers! Rant over.

I have the same problem. However, your mother seems rather adept compared to my mother, technologically speaking.

We've yet to pass the "it must be on to work" stage, but it will come at some point.

Being the techie of the family is a massive pain in the ass.

My exams are still in a few weeks, but my in class exams were cancelled, so it just about halved my workload. Also, I did a few practice tests and I am feeling very confident. I always end up studying too early and for too long.

Would you recommend I change my ways? I quite enjoy doing it this way. I prefer overpreparing.

I was the opposite. I left everything to the last minute. I would recommend not doing that.
