    Holidays. Empty Holidays.

Post by crump Thu Mar 29, 2012 4:54 am

With this nice weather it's bought me back to holidays I had in the past and makes me really want to just go on one now, discuss future holidays planned and some good holidays you've had in the past as well bad ones.

It just so happens my most recent holiday, Malaga last October was my worst one, my last family one too. It rained from Sunday to Tuesday and we only had 3 days of solid sunshine which barely hit over 25 degrees, I had some god memories from it though cos I went with all my dads old good schoolmates so that took away the annoyance of the sun.

The best holidays I've ever had are probably:

A cruise around the Mediterranean, it was such a fantastic experience and waking up in a different country nearly every day was great and was good to see different cultures on a regular basis, Barcelona was such a great place, I reccomend a cruise to anyone! Here's the cruise I went on:

Another good holiday I had was Alcudia on Majorca, I can barely remember it but it was one of the first familys I can actually remember and it was great fun.

My second best holiday below the cruise was Tenerife, the weather was beautiful and it was around 32 degrees every day, I had alot of fun that holiday and would love to go there again.

Unfortunatetly It doesn't look like I'll be having any more holidays with my family anymore for a while anyway due to me getting older and I'd just be bored, looks like my next few holidays will be lads ones, but call me old fashioned I much prefer relaxing holidays and visiting waterparks than staying in all day hanging out my arse, I dunno it could be fun.

I've never been away on a holiday, when I was growing up parents could never afford it and i've never really thought about going away tbh.

Off on a LAD's holiday in July. Gonna be totesfullofbanter. Sun, sea, sex, booze, sun, sex, sea, sex. Going to a place near Malaga.

Then going on a family holiday somewhere in August but we're not sure yet. And we're going away with family and extended family for New Year to our apartment in Tenerife eek2

Best holiday for me was probably Mexico. Haven't had a bad holiday. Loved every one I've been on.

I don't know about my best "holiday" as such but I do like to visit places that interest me. Much prefer city breaks rather than beach holidays, although sometimes (especially in Spain & Portugal) you can combine both by stopping in lovely places that are an hour or two away from the major cities by train.

Toronto & Barcelona are probably my favourite destinations. Lisbon would be joint 1st with those two but there are way too many annoying homeless scroungers around.

Worst places to go are resorts that are full of British tourists. The whole point of going away is to get away from these scum.

Going to Mallorca in summer with people from school, going to be fun Very Happy

Don't understand why family holidays should be boring if you're 16, I'm 18 and the best holiday's I've had were the ones we went to with the whole family, including cousins, aunts, uncles etc, always going to a Club Med resort. So far we've been to Southern France, Portugal and Sicily, probably going somewhere next year too.

I'd love to live in mainland Spain, but I dunno if it's just the short breaks there that make you crave it, it's probably shit. I'd love to go and live in Spain when I'm like 35 - 40. Would be awesome.

Don't think I'm going anywhere this year but one place I want to visit when I'm older is the Full Moon Party in Thailand. What a Face

Watched some programme on it in Geography and it looks very good although there are more than 30 deaths a night. OMG

    I've been to Alcudia too.

Our hotel wasn't great quality, but entertainment wise for the age me and my brother were at the time was spot on.

Don't think my mum would let us stay anywhere below 4*'s since that holiday though Laughing

Never liked kids clubs, always too corny for me and I found it boring. Much preferred visiting water parks with my Mum and Dad or playing in the pool, I can entertain myself easily.

Only time I was interested in a kids club was on the cruise for one afternoon where I got football lessons from ex-Southampton player Ian Juryeff and played some sports with Tessa Sanderson.

Same Forest, my Mum and Dad are snobby with foreign gaffes abroad, 4 star or above Laughing

I've been on a few great holidays, Japan, Antigua, Barbados, but I've been on four fly-drives in America that trump the rest.

1st was a tour of Florida, 2nd was a tour of New England + a week in Cape Cod and a week in Toronto, 3rd was Las Vegas, San Francisco, Hawaii, Chicago plus all the national parks and 4th was NYC, DC then all the way down to Miami.

I'm not even exaggerating, Miami South Beach is the coolest place on earth. I've been twice and as soon as I turn 21 I'm going back there.
