Yea, but we're not going to be playing them over a season are we?
Nope we are not.
So then that has fuck all to do with why you should fear Madrid more over Barca.

I have been following La Liga since the start of the season where Barca were on the backfoot from the off after losing to Hercules.
Madrid have been phenomenal every time I've watched them, except against Barca.

Yeah, you haven't been following this season.
Hercules aren't even in La Liga.

Wonder how they would cope if Di Maria, Benzema, Ozil and Higuain were all out at the same time.Start. wrote:Theo Filippo wrote:Irrelevant to squad depth and Villa, Sanchez, Pedro and Iniesta were all out at one point.
Let's compare them to say Ozil, Higuian, Kaka, and Di Maria obviously haven't got as much class as the Barca players.
But the way Madrid can rotate after injuries makes them superior in my opinion.
Injuries forced his hand, I think he conceded the title slightly earlier than he should of though.ViVaRooney wrote:Point wrote:Barca did that 3 at the back experiment that most likely cost them some points too didn't they?
yeah, stupid guardiola. as i said at the time, its as if he got bored and wanted to try something new.. so retarded

Barcelona are clearly as good as Real Madrid, if not better. They average 2.6 points a game. If they were to continue at this rate, they'd have 99 points. That's a championship winning total anywhere in the world, except in Spain where Mourinho's team has been drilled fantastically to dispose of lower sides in ridiculously efficient fashion. They may not be as consistent as Real Madrid (and that doesn't mean they aren't consistent, they are), but in a cup tournament, they have to be the favourites because they are capable of outplaying any team in the world in a single fixture.

I mentioned I fear Madrid more than Barca because they have the option to rotate in a game. The fact they can take off someone like Xavi Alonso and bring on Kaka you would obviously fear that more than say taking off Sanchez for Pedro.

Yes they fucking are I remember watching it, 2-0 at the Nou Camp.
Trezeguet played for them and it was in August.
Don't even try and turn this round. I recall an early season loss to Tenerife or Deportivo aswell. It was a blue team definitely.

Oh God.
Not only are you thinking of the wrong season, you're analysis of that wrong season is...wrong. Barcelona went on an incredible undefeated run after their loss to Hercules and won the title.

If we got Real or Barcelona in the next round we would get knocked out. Although I reckon we would lose by a bigger score line if we got Barcelona.
