Re: The Polish do it again.
“They were drunk, banged drums and fired flares,” said one parent. “At one point the smoke was so bad you couldn’t breathe.”
Police were called and our now investigating the incident.
The trouble came just days after hooligans in Gdansk attacked the members of a children’s team belonging to a rival club in an incident that shocked a country well accustomed to incidents of football hooliganism.

If these were hooligans... there might actually have been a fire.

They're affectionate parents?? Dude, they're bald fat polish men .. taking their shirts off .. then going one step too far by whipping their trousers off, holding flairs and throwing streamers all over the pitch

Re: The Polish do it again.
1. Ross Kemp is fake, staged and gay.
2. Those are the police. There is a huge police resentment in Poland. Hooligans and even average folk will fight Police for no real reason. It's barbaric but deserved, after all, Police = Communists for most of these peoples lives.
These guys would never fight the army for example. The army are the good guys.

Not unless provoked... no.Viva Ronaldo 7 wrote:so Polska, will they be randomly attacking groups of fans at Euro 2012?
I could see anti-PolishFA protests getting out of hand though.
There shouldn't be any security issues really. We are a modern European country with western values after all.

Ok, what about rival fans from the Polish league, do they easily co-exist when the national team are playing?

Yah. This isn't England.Viva Ronaldo 7 wrote:Ok, what about rival fans from the Polish league, do they easily co-exist when the national team are playing?
We care more about the national team then petty rivalries. You all see me cheering on Lech and Legia in Europe despite being a Wisla fan, it's like that.

Re: The Polish do it again.
Do the teams in Poland have a large academy system? Perhaps this match was between two rival teams which is why it may seem crazy to most.

Re: The Polish do it again.
No, our academy system is terrible.
Only a handful of clubs have a developed one, Lech for example (This game was a Lech U8's side), Legia has the best in the country, and Wisla just got around to building a proper modern western system.
Slask and Lechia surely invested something into it with their new stadiums, other sides like Zagielbie, Cracovia, Polonia(?) also have some investments. Then there are smaller sides throughout Poland who are primarily academies with a professional side playing in the lower divisions, like Hutnik Warszawa who have been supplying youth players to the rest of Poland for years.
edit: Not too long ago, Barcelona also started a youth team near Warsaw. Don't think they plan on having an amateur side in our lower divisions or something, but the youth players play against other youth teams until they reach age where they join another sides youth team or if they are really good, are shipped to Barcelona's Masia.

Re: The Polish do it again.
So I guess a Lech U8 v Barca U8 would not be a very competitive fixture?
