It's one of my favorite shows. The cast is great and the visual effects are stunning.
Mad Men has received critical acclaim, particularly for its historical authenticity and visual style, and has won multiple awards, including fifteen Emmys and four Golden Globes. It is the first basic cable series to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, winning it in each of its first four seasons in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

It's about life in the 1960s in America. The plot follows the lives of Donald Draper and his coworkers at an advertising agency. It deals with issues present at that time (smoking, drinking, sexism, racism, marriage/cheating, etc.). You should check it out.

Pretty awesome show, I was watching it last year, got up to season 3 then exams started kicking in so I had to stop and haven't been able to get back into it

I wasn't serious, while my favourite two shows happen to have lots of nudity, it's just an added bonus. Plot comes first for me, character depth second.
