Not confident of a win, so reckon we may nick a point at best.Team news for Monday night's League Two clash between Shrewsbury Town and Crawley Town at the Greenhous Meadow.
Shrewsbury are hopeful Joe Jacobson will be fit to face their promotion rivals Crawley on Monday. The left-back hobbled out of the 2-1 midweek defeat at Swindon after an hour nursing a groin injury, but he will be given as much time as possible to prove his fitness. Should he fail to make it then fit-again defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff, who replaced Jacobson at the County Ground, will start. Striker Tom Bradshaw, who has been on the periphery of late, misses the game having been called up for international duty with Wales' Under-21 squad. Otherwise, manager Graham Turner is not expected to have any further selection concerns.
Meanwhile, Hope Akpan should be fit for Crawley. The former Everton youngster came off as a precaution during Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with Morecambe after sustaining an ankle knock but is expected to be available. Akpan had started in midfield after Kyle McFadzean switched to right-back following an injury to David Hunt. Hunt suffered a broken foot in the challenge which saw Rory Delap sent off - a decision that was later overturned - during Stoke's 2-0 FA Cup win on Sunday. Scott Shearer has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury so Watford loanee Rene Gilmartin continues in goal. On-loan Millwall striker Shaun Batt will push to make his debut.

Can't see Shrewsbury losing this tbh, they are in brilliant form atm winning 5 of their last 7 matches. Crawley have hit a rough patch recently. They should never have sold Tubbs/Barnett.

Hope Turner makes a fool of himself, apparently he lost it at Swindon away

We shouldn't have done. I was alright with selling one as long as we kept the other. But, Tubbs wanted to go back to his hometown, and move up a league (which IMO we would've been there anyway had we kept him) and the money was too much to turn down for Barnett.LFC_Grunners wrote:Can't see Shrewsbury losing this tbh, they are in brilliant form atm winning 5 of their last 7 matches. Reds: Gilmartin; Wassmer, Howell, McFadzean, Mills; (Scott) Davis, Bulman, Simpson, Clarke; Watt; Akinde.
Subs: Kuipers, Torres, Hawley, Batt, Neilson
Davis is with Jamaica, so Fadz at back, CB. Haven't seen Wassmer play for ages.
Akinde up front = we've lost.

A player isn't starting for Shrewsbury because he's stuck in traffic.

Evans
Just realized I've been spelling McFadzean wrong for like the whole season.

Gilmartin doesn't look comfortable for whatever reason.

Great finish but he shouldn't have been allowed to get there, very weak defence.
