Does anyone have it, it looks amazing I can't believe it came out in February so I have to wait a whole year if I want it for Christmas.

I have a PSP, no point 'upgrading' waste of money.

But they'll stop making games for PSP, I was looking at FIFA12 for PS Vita and the graphics were almost exactly like it is on Xbox.
It's probably worth waiting until christmas, cos then they will have brought out loads of good games

If the new Kingdom Hearts game comes out on the Vita then I might just get it.

Re: PS Vita
I played one in GAME last week, was a bit odd with three of us playing it when we weren't supposed to be, friendly staff.
It runs so smooth and the graphics are amazing, my mate is trading his Xbox in to get one, wouldn't go that far but I might get one tbh.

Wouldn't buy it. If I want to play games on the go, I've got my iPhone.

I said that to him.
Doesn't quite have the same affect, going home and settling down to FIFA on the xbox.
Settling down coming in and turning on the PS Vita

I already have an Xbox. I don't need intense gaming and graphics for something on the road. I'm especially not going to bust out $250 for it either.

Re: PS Vita
handheld gaming is shit, how do people find the time to do it while out...?
If I'm gonna play a game I want to play it at home on a big ass screen.
Gameboy was good though

Reserved a 3G version for launch on Wednesday from Game. The only downside to buying one is that you need to buy a memory stick.

It's out on Wednesday?
Going to pre order the Wi-Fi bundle with memory card and FIFA. I was all hyped up for this a couple of months ago, but I've only just remembered it's coming out when I looked at this thread

Someone sell me this product, because I really want to find a good reason to get me one of these but I just can't think of anything.

Don't. It's a waste of money.
If you want to play games, get an Xbox or PS3. You can sit in front of a big screen with better graphics, games, etc. If you want to play on the road, most smartphones these days have good games to kill time and aren't bad when it comes to graphics. The PS Vita costs as much as an Xbox or PS3, so why would you want to waste that much money on a device that you would be using so little and that's less fun than a proper gaming system?

Re: PS Vita
I'm only getting it because I go to a boarding school so I don't get to play on my xbox, cos it's at my home. That makes sense in my eyes.

I wanted someone to sell it to me, I already knew why it is potentially a waste of money.

Re: PS Vita
My cousin has a Jap Vita and its awesome. For me its a must buy. Honestly how can you even compare iphone games to a fucking Vita?
For someone like me its a great piece of kit. Nice to be able to play a proper game when you want when at work or somewhere where you have a lot of spare time. The screen is possibly the best I've seen on any handheld entertainment system. Even at home I can see myself using the vita more than the ps3.
The new firmware thingy is good to. Better than the old XMB layout. Only problem is that it's fairly complicated and could take a while to get used to. Apparently its really easy to jailbreak or whatever you wanna call it if you're into that stuff. You can also get apps and shit for it apparently but I've not gone into all that shit yet.
It's a bit pricey but its obviously going to drop soon. Considering the hardware you're getting with it the price isn't really that much of an issue. By april I bet you'll see second hand Vita's going for like £150 which you cannot complain about. I know a guy who spent that much on a call of duty game that just comes with this shit rc car
The things I dislike are
- the camera's on it are shit and kinda pointless.
- kinda awkward to hold and operate the back finger pad
- the battery life is not that great. However I'm sure there will be better aftermarket batteries available soon.
- starting crop of games are not that great. Typical with Sony I guess.
- not easy to understand a lot of the features. The one I used was not fully English and it was annoying to try figure out how certain things work

I'm not comparing the games or graphics, but if its to kill time on the road, I'm not really going to care about that. If I want proper gaming, I got my Xbox. I guess it's nice to have if you are a hardcore gammer, but I'm not.

Re: PS Vita
Anyway, I like sitting down in the living room and watching tv when Im at home and having the Vita means I can play good quality (as opposed to PSP quality, which is shit) while watching the football and tv.
The games I plan on getting with it is FIFA, virtua tennis 4, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and some shooter called Unit 13 or Wipeout

Re: PS Vita
Reserved mine today.
The man who served me used to work for SONY and told me 2 "secrets". I don't know if they're secrets or if everyone knows, I can't be bothered researching.
Anyway, Sony are planning a 3D update for the Vita later this year which will be "bigger than ever"
Also, the Vita will "never get outdated". Instead, there will be lots of software updates.
