Dean wrote:No, Danny. This whole fucking thing has been blown up. And I actually agree with Neville, with what he said in the studio after the game. 2 players, don't like each other, why should they shake hands? If Suarez doesn't want shake, then he doesn't shake. It's as simple as that. Be honest with me, would you shake someones hand who you thought had stitched you up? I certainly fucking wouldn't.

And again, Evra being the little bitch, makes a scene out of it all, and grabs Suarez' hand and LOOKS straight at the camera? Bit thespian don't you think? Evra knows clearly what he's doing, he's acting up for the cameras and trying to make himself look the victim, ONCE AGAIN.

And again, at the end of the match, celebrating like that in front of Suarez, and the way he was with the crowd. Has he ever done that? After a victory? I think not. Again, he was clearly acting up, and he certainly weren't defusing the situation. It was almost a cry of 'I've won Luis, I'm the better man, look at me, look at me'

Patrice Evra's a very very smart man, I know his sort, and I knew exactly what he was doing yesterday. I could see right through the acting. He played a blinder. He did what he set out to do.

    *sigh*

Suarez feels the victim here. And he feels Evra has done him over, therefore, he didn't shake his hand. Look I'm not assed whether he told this person or that person. I'm purely talking about the handshake alone. Is it a crime to not shake someones hand?

If he doesn't wanna' shake his hand, he fucking won't. End of. Ye', he maybe told people he was, but he changed his mind, obviously, problem? He's his own man, he can do what he wants. Obviously he's contracted to Liverpool, so therefore, there is certain things he's got to ablidge. Shaking people's hands is not one of them.

And as for Fergie's comments after the game, he's a disgrace.

    1.) Exactly, that's my point.
2.) Oh, um', so he lied? Is that set in stone now? Is not at all possible, he changed his mind last minute? Is it not at all possible, the pressure of the whole thing could of clouded his judgment? Emotion is a very powerful thing.
    3.) And?

Telling your manager you will shake his hand, have the manager go to the press and stand there and say he will without question do it, and then go and not do it? That's quite frankly disrespectful towards the manager.

I agree with your points but not the last one, what Fergie said was pretty fair, apart from him being not allowed to play for us again, as that was stupid.

    1. No it's not, because you don't get that Suarez didn't part in a tradition that shows respect. Suarez didn't show him respect so the general public gain a negative opinion, what's not to get?
    2. It certainly suggests he lied, nothing in that says he changed his mind in the last minute. Dalglish would have taken action if he said no, I don't believe for one second he changed his mind

Kenny never directly spoke to Luis about shaking Evra's hand. Kenny was made aware of it mid-week that he 'would'. And also Kenny never came out to the press and said Suarez was shaking hands with Evra. So again, you're kinda' making it, sound, worse than it actually was.

So he lied on the website then?

"People are already speculating on the pre-match ceremony, but from Luis' point of view we have spoken to him and I know he will shake the hand of Patrice Evra and the other Manchester United players before the game," Dalglish told the club's official website.

    Ok then

Suarez tells a representative of the club that he will shake hands with Evra, Dalglish is informed of this but says nothing. Suarez then refuses to shake Evra's hand on the Saturday, suggesting some sort of lie

That's as nice as it gets

What Ferguson said was a disgrace. He had no right to tell us or the media, what Suarez, should or shouldn't do. Or whether he should play for our club again. I just can't fathom how he can criticise our stance on Suarez, considering, he's had and defended players such as Cantana who was banned for assaulting a fan. Laughing And then thugs such as Roy Keane, a player who admitted to trying to end another players career. rofl

Yet, Suarez shouldn't play for us again for not shaking someones hand?

They still wore United shirts after their crimes. Double standards much? Or is he just an old senile cunt who's got a shallow memory? You decide.

@Laurencio- Ok, fair enough. I honestly didn't know he'd said that. So I'll concede that point. To be fair though, my main point was never about Suarez telling the club be would shake hands. My point was about the hand shake itself and Fergie's post match comments. And I've made myself very clear, on both of them points.

Fergie's comments are unnecessary, but the apology which specifies pretty much exactly what he said, more or less legitimize the statement.

Sure he can decide not to shake his hand, but to tell the manager he will, have the manager go out there and claim that it won't happen, leading the club decide against asking the FA to not have that little round of hand shaking and then do exactly the opposite. That is disrespectful in my opinion.

Personally I don't see how anyone can't just get over themselves and shake hands. It takes less than two seconds, it doesn't need to be heartfelt or accompanied with a smile, it just needs to be a quick shake and then it's all done.

If Suarez feels he's been ripped off. Who cares? Evra's a prick, so is Suarez. At the moment he's dragging our club through the mud and it's not a good thing. Especially if he let down Kenny after he's thought tooth and nail to defend him. No one is bigger than the club.

Saurez was a complete cunt yesterday and should have shook Evra's hand.Luis Suarez: I'm Sorry - Page 4 73365 Even if he did not agree with what happened before he should have put Liverpool football club before himself, and thank god today we got an apology from Liverpool. Saurez now has to get out there and play his best football for now to the end of the season and repay Liverpool fc for what he did.

I was really pissed off with Saurez for what he did yesteday. I just hope we can get ready for an important couple of weeks with the FA Cup game and the League cup final, and try and get back to talking about football. Its time for Saurez to repay Liverpool and get himself sorted out and stop getting himself in the news for all the wrong reasons.

People still standing up for Suarez? Neutral

He lied to his manager about his intention to shake Evra's hand and put his manager in a bad position with the press. He is totally in the wrong here and that's why he apologized.
