Everything would have been much easier and unavoidable if he had just apologised for being racist about 2 months ago.

Of course he didn't. He has no business talking about it like that. He should have kept his mouth shut, but what he said, and the reasons he gave, is exactly what Liverpool and Suarez apologised for. As a result they more or less legitimised his statement.

Not really. Suarez refusing to shake the perceived victims hand is pretty much a slap in the face of Evra and a refusal to end the entire saga.

Waiting for an apology from Evra for attempting a dangerous tackle on Suarez and very nearly causing a riot at the end of the game .

This proves that it wasn't Evra who refused his handshake. Of course certain Liverpool fans are quick to defend Suarez in every little thing, even when it's so obvious.

I do want to show my appreciation for Suarez's apology though. It doesn't matter if he meant it or if he was forced to say it. The point is, it was said.
