Bale only did one thing wrong and that was diving. At first I thought he was clipped, but it was an obvious dive. Don't know what got into him tonight, he's normally calm and doesn't react. Defensively excellent, last season we would've lost that and lost that badly. Dawson for MOTM IMO. He dealt with Carroll well, and was there to clear pretty much everything, if it wasn't him it was Parker. Saurez kicked Parker in his stomach quite clearly, and Skrtel had his studs up on Bale, only just caught him while getting the ball but you could see the mark on his leg, definitely got caught. I'm so thankful for Parker and Friedel, they give us something away from home that we haven't had in years. I'm confident with Brad, so much more than I was with Gomes. Bale should've scored with that chance, as soon as he was in I thought this is it! But, alas, it wasn't and that summed up his night for me. The worst Bale performance I've seen in a long long time.
