Watched Brave. I liked it.

BladeGunner wrote:The Amazing Spiderman was pretty good. Would probably have been better as a romantic comedy because the Lizard was just stupid and some of the superhero aspects of the movie dragged it down. Franchise has lots of potential though.
I feel like a hipster seeing all this Andrew Garfield love now though.
Yea, I felt the best parts were the scenes with Garfield and Emma Stone, good chemistry there which I guess is natural as their dating. I liked the idea of the lizard though, I prefer a conflicted villain rather than some completely evil super genius.

Really? I haven't seen it yet, but that doesn't bode well if it's a superhero film.

I watched Ghost Rider 2 yesterday. It was stupid yeah, but I think it got worse reviews than it deserved.
It never exactly claims to be Citizen Kane, it's just a nice trashy action movie. Some of the camera work and effects were pretty cool tool.

I liked how he turned into a proper cocky cunt when he was Spiderman.
I get what he's getting at, the best bits were probably ones between Garfield and Stone.

I didn't find The Lizard conflicted as much as I found him confused. I didn't have much sympathy for him either because
There are also other aspects that were off but the characters and their relationships made up for it, at least I felt they did.
- Spoiler:
- he comes up with his plan (a really stupid plan, I might add) in his human form. If they had made him into a Jekyll and Hyde kind of character then I might have cared more but even as Dr. Connors he's still kind of an ass.

Agreed, The Lizard was a fuckhead.

Andrew Garfield was disappointing, his acting seemed a bit forced and his accent was exaggerated.
The Lizard did not really make sense as a character, either. I agree, Blade, his plan was so stupid it was immoral.

I think his accent is spot in, I never even knew he was English until recently.

He's both English and American. Didn't know that.

Just noticed on RottenTomatoes the last three movies I've seen:

Madagascar 3: 75%

I am sorry, but I am not accustomed to dealing with such rash and impulsive individuals.

I'm not actually, I've just been trying to cut down my activity on here so I can do more productive things.

All I could see when the teddy bear was taking was Peter Griffin. Got tired of the movie about 20 minutes in. Not even Mila Kunis could keep me interested.
Might as well give my thoughts the new Spiderman movie in here as well.
