Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
its abit weird sacking him while he is still in the CL maybe he would have won it and given chelsea something they never had and also guaranteeing a CL spot in the process

Can't believe that. Wasn't it a high release clause fee to sack AVB?

The could of at least given him till the end of the season. Who are you going to bring in now? Di Matteo won't get you 4th spot.

Exactly, there's a real lack of oil money at Chelsea.

Mata on Twitter:
"It hasn't been an easy day for those who, like me, are part of Chelsea. I would like to thank the manager and wish him luck. We have to keep working hard and better days will come. Thanks for your support!"
Patrick Hennessy @PatJHennessy
Mail tomorrow claims Abramovic 'blamed dressing room dissenters' for #AVB sacking and warned them of 'massive changes' to come at #Chelsea

On a slightly different note, Ron Gourlay is a cunt.

Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
It was only a matter of time. Our board are a disgrace, it's fucking embarrassing.
I not only feel sorry for Andre, I'm outraged.
It has been obvious, since Carlo's departure, that it's been the players' who are at fault. After Mourinho resigned, our "core" players had to take over in order to keep the team going and it sort of worked under Grant. The problem was they never let go. They asumed they would be in charge until fuck knows when, and they were utterly wrong.
In came Ancelotti. We won the league and the F.A. cup because the hierarchy of Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Malouda was intact. He picked them yes or yes.
Out goes Ancelotti, and why? Because Roman, Gourlay, Buck and Co. thought a season without silverware and second in the league was unacceptable.
Mourinho was a blessing and a curse. He made us champions, back to back even, but his curse is he set the bar far too high for whoever filled in his shoes. The board expected Chelsea to win trophies each season or else it would be a total failure.
We are caught in a managerial go-round. I thought Roman would have learnt by now but he clearly hasn't. Maybe he should have thought about sacking the players instead of Andre, but it's always going to be the manager's fault.
I'm disgusted and it's sad to see the club I love to have such incompetent arseholes running it. Maybe my faith is terribly misplaced, but I hope the "old guard" get an ultimatum, or else they can piss off. I'm greatful for what they've done for the club but that doesn't give them the right to be untouchables, no player is bigger than Chelsea, not JT, not Lampard and certainly not Drogba. We support Chelsea, not them.

I really don't see Mourinho returning. What has Abromovich done to show that he won't interfere and just cause the same problems as last time? Nothing. I can not imagine Mourinho wanting to return to that mess when virtually every other club on the planet would let him do what he wants.

Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
Tbf he was able to wrestle power from Valdano which was probably an equal achievement. I think Jose has the best chance of limiting his influence, him and Hiddink.

Why bother going back to what you know will be tricky when other clubs wouldn't even question his authority. It took him a year and a half to take powerin Madrid, and that was against an employee, not the owner or president.

If he does leave Madrid at the end of the season, where do you see him going?
