I'm quite sure Spearing will play, no holding mid against City is suicide. Couldn't Richards play in the centre? Not sure how strong Savic is in the air but Richards would certainly do well against Carroll.

Yeah that's a possibility too. Richards in the middle and Zab on the right. I think Mancini will give Savic his chance though, after all he did pay £8m for him.
