Carroll and Torres combined couldn't even equal his record.

Tim Howard should just be played upfront for now on.

Oh my god, imagine if this really happens

Almost unbelievable!
Yakubu + Demba Ba = £1.5m = 27 goals.
Torres + Carroll = £85m = 5 goals.

Torres jokes have become just as unfunny as Heskey jokes.

the thing about Torres though, is that it isn't a joke, he just randomly got shitty and everytime you see him on tv he seems as baffled as everyone as to how it happened

Yes, he'll come home to Liverpool and score shit-loads again.

It's quite obvious how it happened.
He got a run of injuries, that robbed him of that extra yard of pace. While he was coming back to fitness, his performances weren't great and he was playing in a shitty system by Sir Roy Hodgson of England that was ineptly designed and didn't help Torres at all. He lost confidence because of this and forced a move to a club that didn't play to his strengths, further destroying his confidence.
That is where we are at. Easy enough.

If you look at his last few goals for Liverpool against Bolton and Blackpool, he looks like he still has that pace.

Nah, he's still fast. But not as fast as he was. If he can build up his confidence, then he might start to use the pace he has properly. But he won't be the same as he was at his peak with us.

Dan, when Kenny came back, Torres looked brilliant all over again. I remember it vividly. It's why I was so gutted he left.
It was as if he never scored boring tap ins. Every goal was a peach. The goal against Blackpool

True, but it wasn't the same as when he was at his peak.

Yea, he'd never get to that again.
Isnt it weird how when he was brilliant he was always injured and now he's crap he never gets injured

True, but he was streets ahead of how he's been for Chelsea.
But when I've seen him for Chelsea recently, I think he's still got it in him. I'm sure it's the team around him that's stopping him from unleashing the beast within.
He looked nearly back to his Liverpool best against Man United, with that beautiful chip over De Gea, but then fucked it up by missing that open goal. If he had tapped that in, things could be very different right now.
Forgot to mention his two goals against Chelsea. I want him back

He's not using his pace as his main weapon now. Less tension on his muscles, therefore reduced risk of injury.

He will trash your car, you better stop! He is taught the ways of the north now.
Depends, how long will there be so much wind for ?

he looks like a lost puppy out there 24/7. Even when he does good stuff every now and then, the look on his face is like "wow did I really do that?" He looks like a man expecting to fail.

Of course. Torres seems more and more like he was just a stroke of luck.
