Cortese said in an interview somewhere that he wanted over ten million quid for him, plus a big sell-on clause.
If it's a record fee, it must be over £10m, considering our previous was pretty close to that. And 'blown out the water' sort of implies that the fee was a lot higher than the Dean Richards deal.
I think it was said that the fee was:
£12m up front
£3m in various add ons.
25% sell on clause.
