What? It's always pointed out after the El Classico that they do that.

Terrible goalkeeping by Reina for the first goal. Thought Liverpool played well throughout but they need a finisher. Was funny when Agger went to go shoulder to shoulder with Barry then dived on the floor to get him sent off.. then Toure dived on the floor to get a peno a minute later. rofl

Howcome Liverpool fans were talking about starting Suarez.. hasn't his ban started?

Liverpool had enough of the ball to do something in the game, but their problem was that they did absolutely nothing with it. Downing's passing sums it all up really. Plenty of the ball, but no pennetration in the final third.

The ref was a fucking joke. Sent Barry off for nothing, then didn't even card Skertl when he was last man. It's bad enough that Yaya dived, but he didn't even get the decision right if he had been fouled. Felt like he let Dzeko get manhandled all game too.

Tbh, the ball had run away from Toure (which is why he went down) so it wouldn't have been a sending off even if he did touch him.

The scoreline definitely didn't reflect upon the game. We were the better side for the majority of the game, I mean, have you seen the stats?

Not only that, but we were without 2 of our best players (Suarez and Lucas) and Gerrard only came on late (had a poor cameo, I thought)

Bellamy was great when he came on. We're going to need to use him now that we've not got Suarez for 7 games.

    Man City shots - 10, on target - 8.

    Liverpool shots - 18, on target - 10.

    Neutral

I don't even mean a sending off, he didn't even card him. Even if the ball had ran, the ref must have thought it was a tackle from behind where he didn't get the ball, which is a definite yellow. I'm more annoyed that Barry got sent off because now one of our most important players misses the United derby on Sunday. Sad

I agree with that. Don't really rate Spearing after that game, if you'd had Lucas in his place it might have been different.

I think Liverpool had too many longshots tbh. You passed the ball well enough, but you weren't better in the final third.

If they got a good striker (in addition to Suarez) they'd look a lot better. Carroll just doesn't cut it.

I thought Carroll was alright. Kompany just had him covered. He needs someone alongside him, as he's not cut out to play a lone striker.

True, Spearing is still a pale shadow of Lucas.

Yeah. But having said what I said, it wasn't a great performance from City. Good result, but very average performance. City are capable of playing a lot better, as seen many times this season.

Laurencio wrote:I think Liverpool had too many longshots tbh. You passed the ball well enough, but you weren't better in the final third.

How? Both teams were average in the final third. Reina fluffed Aguero's shot (routine save), Corner kick goal doesn't really count as 'final third' even though it is and the last goal was a penalty. You're making it seem as if City were better than us in the final third. It was pretty equal. Hart had a better game than Reina.

man city train just goes along as usual, liverpool getting worse but we should not expect much in these games. against such teams is about damage limitation for liverpool. even if they getting dominated like they did, at least it was only 3 goal against, citys domination could of led to maybe 5 or 6 goals on another day

You didn't even watch the game did you? Fuck off. All the City fans have admitted Liverpool dominated the majority of the game.

Liverpool against good teams is just damage limitation? Really? We beat Chelsea twice, dominated City at Anfield, dominated Man United at Anfield, beat Arsenal 2-0.
