You're right we're not. But the SOPA bill is being discussed right now (http://keepthewebopen.com/sopa). Every American website such as Youtube, Facebook, Piratebay etc. Will become completely controled by the American Government similar to have China control their internet. Nothing illegal can ever touch that website and websites like Google will have certain illegal links blocked.

Eventually this will spread to Europe then even the internet service providers will have control over how they allow the use of 'their' internet. Anyway either way we're fucked, especially America.
