For some reason, he receives more criticism than most US players -- despite performing well on a consistent basis. I do think part of that had to do with his father being the manager, but, he doesn't appear to be in Jurgen's plans now either.
I actually wrote last January that he should move to Italy, as opposed to England, before he moved there on loan. He's not a hoofballer, and I thought he would fit in well there, and learn more tactical awareness than he could ever dream of (especially in England).
So I'm glad it seems to be working out with him so far.
