People are interested in everything. There's always people out there to cater for.
Bolton away in 2007 was my most eventful away day. Was fucking brilliant.
What happened?
Also, we should change the forum name to dootball.com so we get hits from people misspelling football
Firstly it was Valentines Day so I had to ditch the missus when she thought we were doing something. I got on a coach at 9 am and didn't even get to Bolton until 6pm. It was one of my first away trips so I wasn't with the travel club then so we used National Express, booked the coach for 10.30pm to come home. By 7pm I had downed 3 ecstasy pills and about 15 cans of Stella. I was seriously fucked. I made it to 7:45 and kick off. The game was crazy with 2 missed penalties, a sending off, a 90th minute equaliser for Bolton and a man who happened to be my friend flew down 9 aisles of seats and nearly fell off the upper tier. Then it was extra time, something we dreaded because our coach was at 10:30pm. It was 9:45pm with extra time just kicking off. Freddie Ljungberg scored a winner right in front of our end to send us home happy but then it was just about getting home.
We hitch hiked from the ground and luckily some random Asian man in a mini van picked us up. He said he didn't want any money but he wanted drugs so I gave him a tens bag of skunk, then he started hitting 80mph on little country lanes trying to get us to the coach station, he even went on two wheels at one point. He got us there but too late, we were fucked. We walked around Bolton for about an hour (it's like a ghost town at night) and finally found the train station. We bunked a train to Manchester Picadilly and found a cab as soon as we got out the station. The cab driver drove us in a big circle around Manchester and dropped us back to the train station. He thought as we were drunk we would be stupid and not realise, unluckily for him my friend did realise and punched him in the back of the head. The driver decided he was being a cunt and took us to Manchester coach station.
Then the night got even worse, there was no coaches due until 8 in the morning so my friend decided to just sleep at the coach station. Two of us left we decided to go out in Manchester where my friend Sam as usual had a fight and got arrested, leaving me wandering Manchester City Centre on my own. Some girls in a pink limo noticed me sitting on a kerb so they picked me up and weirdly they didn't rape me and they actually dropped me off at the coach station. As soon as I got there I saw a huge Chinese party jumping on a private coach which said Birmingham on the front. So I woke up my mate and we both jumped on. I'm kinda smart so I just put on a hat and jumped on normally and took my seat at the back. 10 seconds later I get a phone call and my friend Lee is underneath with the luggage.
We get dropped off at Birmingham city centre at 6am. No money due to the excessive drinking and the loss of Lee's wallet. But we had one thing and that was drugs. Like disgusting crack heads we walked around trying to sell all the gear we had left just to get a coach home. I sold a half ounce of skunk to someone for £25 when it's normally worth £60 - £80. By 7:30 we managed to get on a coach to London and there we thought it was all good. We get off the coach at 10 met by police to arrest us for bunking the Chinese coach and supposedly selling drugs (it was supposedly to them). SO I had plans with my missus on the 14th but didn't end up getting home until midnight on the 16th. Long story, I know.

Re: The Playmaker Blog.
Now that's a fucking away day Mal.
A good moment about our Brighton trip was that they were being really funny with letting Leeds fans into clubs on Friday night after the game. Me and my 2 mates were absolutely hammered after the all day session and just about convinced the Digital bouncer to let us in as there was only 3 of us, not causing trouble. Anyway at the end of the night out of nowhere a fucking huge Marching on Together chorus started, turns out the club was full of Leeds fans but cause they were from Sheffield, Wakefield etc the bouncers never put 2 and 2 together with their driving licenses and they got in, no questions asked. Quality night!

I don't see the problem, wouldn't the rest of Brighton be in the gay bars anyway?

Yeah we were heading down this street trying to get our bearings, and saw a massive rainbow flag hanging out of a window on the corner. No joke it was half the size of a football pitch, we quickly decided that was probably the street to avoid if you are young, cute and straight like myself.

Re: The Playmaker Blog.
Oh so it was in here
Ok here's what's happening, the blog is basically all set up (ok it is all set-up, the layout was extremely easy ), so we're thinking of launching January 9th. Just you know we need articles for you lot to have something to launch with, so get writing and send them to me or Charlie before launch day.
Also I need people to be able to be on the Playmaker Podcast, since we'll be bringing that back, hopefully for launch day as well, so yeah apply here
Ok Charlie you really should make this a global announcement you cunt.

I am not a cunt and I'm an extremely busy individual.
I'm also looking into upgrading this site to an IP Board. If I can be bothered to pay for hosting and the IP package.

And I see, how much is it?

Re: The Playmaker Blog.
A ridiculous amount. £30 a month and the users online at one time is limited to 65.

Sounds like a bad deal. Ip license would cost you £80 onetiime fee and a host could easily be procured for 20 a month, no limit on activity (well, bandwidth, but that's another issue).

You need a product. Advertising will just cover hosting costs.

Advertising can be quite lucrative. A certain site I was involved with earlier made 400-500 USD a month on ads alone
