I can add a Daily Mirror/The Sun take on things.
Seriously though, I'm a fantastic, entertaining writer. My blogs on here provided great entertainment.

When everyone has put their names forward we should do some sort of vote to narrow it down so we don't have loads of clueless phaggots ruining it.

Agreed. Most people will just give up anyway, and some will be very bad.

My writing is pretty shit though, I couldn't be bothered corrected all the grammar
2300 views isn't that bad though I guess

I think we should use ClarkY's euro 2012 blog to see who the good people are and who actually bothers writing it.

I agree with Cam. I have no idea if I'll be any good but I could be amazing, right?

Not sure people would be that interested in tales of me being told off for swearing by a middle aged witch on a packed train.

People are interested in everything. There's always people out there to cater for.
Bolton away in 2007 was my most eventful away day. Was fucking brilliant.

What happened?
Also, we should change the forum name to dootball.com so we get hits from people misspelling football

Re: The Playmaker Blog.
My favourite away trip was Brighton, match was decent but we stopped for the weekend and it was incredible! Favourite day trip was Burnley the other week, was pretty much pissed by half 11 and by the time I got home to my local at 5 when everyone else was just coming out I was a wreck.
Still somehow carried on the session till 3am and got laid, don't know what the girl must have been thinking when I woke up the next morning still half cut and singing the Enoch song to myself.

Re: The Playmaker Blog.
Why have named writers? Like, people write articles and if you think it's good enough post it and if not don't.
Just to save the pressure on people needing to make deadlines and in general, just make it fairer.

Because I think they actually want the blog to be good, rather than it just being for shits and giggles.

Re: The Playmaker Blog.
OR we could have our own pieces on the site, well everyone that wants to contribute to it. And we'd write about what we'd like from the football world from the past week/weekend. Everyone could have their own opinion piece mixed with people who want to write serious articles and match reports.
I definitely want to be a part of this, seeing as 1) I want to be a football writer, 2) I have no job and a season ticket to Crawley so I have time to write my pieces. Being on twitter and facebook will help as well, sharing the site and getting our names out there. There are people of here who want to be a football/sports writer like myself and this is a great opportunity for us.

It's a good name. It focuses on the most central player on any team, it says this is about the central things in football, and it presents the "site" as a centre for all things regarding football. The name isn't really a problem. Buying dootball.com just to redirect to the playmaker wouldn't be the worst idea in the world though

I mean, give everyone a chance. Anyone can write an article and if it's good, Mal will use it. If not, don't. Simples.
+ it means that more articles will be written, if everyone has a chance.
