Looking for some good books to read, open to Autobiography's as well.

Was thinking of buying Gary Neville's book, simply because I love him as a pundit, anyone read it?

    So, open to suggestions. Smile

I've got Neville's book Jela, but I've not read it yet. : shifty:

Imagine it should be a good read, he was never one to hide what he felt on the pitch, don't see why he'd hold back in his own book.

If you want a footballers book then get Tony Adams Addicted. It's no bullshit biography like Wayne Rooney's or young people like that. It's a brilliant read.

    Or buy The Blizzard.

Silmarillion, Tolkien's greatest work considering the detail and depth that went into it.

Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. An absolutely remarkable series. Captivating. At times horrifying. I highly recommend it. Must check if another book has come out considering the last I read back in 2009.

Rei, if you're there..I bought the Wayfarer redemption which came recommended by you. Haven't got round to reading it though because of coursework. But the opening looks promising, always like a bit of horror mixed in to quicken the senses.

Did Homer actually invent all of this stuff or were the stories legends at the time? Think I heard the latter somewhere shifty

Good question, I'm honestly not 100% sure without looking. I know he certainly made a few, or they were all based of a real event. I am also sure some were already legends that he incorporated.

Buy The Blizzard. All 4 issues are available for £40 here

    http://www.theblizzard.co.uk/product/4-issue-box-set-uk/

But you can download each one from as little as 1p, or order a hard copy of issues 1-3 for about £6.

Outside of magazines-cum-books, I recommend the following
The War of the Worlds, H.G. Wells., £3.97 inc. delivery
Nineteen Eighty-Four, George Orwell, £4.74 inc. delivery
Keane, Roy Keane, £8.09 inc. Delivery, fantastic autobiography, if you're going to read just one then fuck Gary Neville, read this one, what a man.
Lord of the Flies, William Golding, £4.55 inc. Delivery, absolutely superb piece of work about human nature.

No, it's a comprehensive summary of greek mythology.

I'd love to read it, but quick googling did not reveal the book in stock somewhere.
