    alex to old school for avb is pity i think he is best defender in chelsea but he just isnt reliable with ball at feet

    anelka even worse. when anelka is in form hes is absolute world class. what a shame to see him rot like this he is the best striker in chelsea but now he goes to russia to have fun times with etoo

    Dropping Alex makes little sense considering the defensive shambles Terry and Luiz have created. You could drive a bus between those two. Ivanovic has become quite good as a full back and offers defensive cover, which Bosingwa doesn't, So at the moment he is somewhat indispensable there.

    I think AVB is making it clear he's going shopping in January
