But back on topic, I am still outraged with the rankings. It is like a 17th placed side and a 18th placed side, the 17th is safe from relegation, the 18th have to go through a play off, because they win both legs and played two more games they go ahead of the 17th ranked side in rankings

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. These rankings shouldn't be taken seriously. The only reason they are seen as important is because they determine the seedings for major tournaments.
The ELO rankings are a lot more realistic and reflective of the international game.
