Didn't notice Croatia went up as well, that is just bad. I understand why it is based on the games played, who they're against and the context, but still :smh:

Tell me about it, how can a team who finished below another suddenly jump 6 places higher than the team above them simply because they played two competitive games? ![rofl](/users/3115/13/36/92/smiles/70955.gif)

Mexico won the Gold cup not long ago, Japan haven't done anything worthy to be higher in the rankings.

this.
it's just a shame that France is so fucking lost now.. since they have the quality of a top 10 easily, top 5 possibly.

Haven't actually watched Greece for ages, but watch France, and its a shock at how poor they are actually playing at the minute.

Since Brazil is the World Cup host their overall ranking is going to be screwy until 2014 since they will have no competitive fixtures until then. As one should expect competitive fixtures are valued higher than friendlies. Brazil most likely will continue to slide but I have no clue how far this slide will go.

I watch every Greek game, they play decent most of the time, finished first in their group, they have some good players. France would probably beat us, but it wouldn't be a battering, until France progress past the Group Stages they will stay behind teams like Portugal and Greece.

It seems like friendlies arent valued at all anymore, Denmark won the recent 2 against Sweden and Finland, didnt do anything, yet Croatia who had to go into playoffs for Euro qualification are now 8th. Fifa rankings once again proving they mean fuck all. Except when draws for World cup commence, i mean just look at group E, there is no top european team there, barely even a team that belongs in the 2nd seedings.

Well what makes the system even more confusing is every month not only are new results added but old game be taken away at the same time. So the old results going away and the new games in theory could cancel each other out for no difference.

Interesting that the return of Glen to the England setup sees us rise in the World rankings. With him in the team, anything is possible.

In FM, Brazil take a beating in the rankings because they aren't playing an WCQ matches. I expect them to drop even further come around 2014.

It's going to be tough for France to ever recapture the glory of their golden generation. The FIFA ranking system is more damaged than the BCS system for college football here in the US.
