Even if you constantly attack the opponent, they can still break your attack and catch you on the counter easily, so really the quote makes no sense in this game.
That said, when it comes to teams like Arsenal, the best form of defense for them last season was outscoring the opposition, because they had no defense.

I think in most cases it's true.
If you defend then you invite pressure on yourself. Keeping the ball in the oppositions half is the easiest way not to concede. Obviously that is subject to counter attacks but from my experience with Watford and other teams.....falling back and defending when you're ahead is bad.

And even when we do have a defence, thats still our mentality because the defence in general is all over the place.
