Neymar scored the best goal

The build up to it was pretty good, it wasn't just the finish.

Iniesta's croqueta (signature move of his he used to get buy Wilshere) + plus his feint to open the passing lane + the pass to Messi + Messi's bad touch then a perfect chip with Almunia sliding under the ball like an idiot + side volley into an open net = orgasmic goal if you ask me. Not the best, but breaking up the plays move by move will really show you how good of a goal it was.

It really isn't that amazing to flick the ball above the keeper and then finish. Adebayor did exactly the same thing against Liverpool recently. That goal wasn't anywhere near goal of the year and neither is Messi's.

Rooney's goal is probably the best for its audacity, but my favourite goal is Stankovic's. He struck that ball so cleanly.

It was an excellent strike, but I felt so bad for Neuer who did so well to get it away

I'm not sayin it is the goal of the year, but are you listening to how much your undermining such a good goal?

Adebayors goal was just as brilliant if your talking about finishing wise, but build up and execution? Both great, great goals, but they were both also scored in different circumstances, not to mention these are top 10 from last seasons goals so of course his won't be up there.

The technique for Stankovic's goal was ridiculous.

He's not saying it's goal of the year. He's just saying it's quality, which it is.

I'm not really undermining it at all. It's an excellent pass from Iniesta and Messi does well to beat the keeper with the dink but does that make it one of the top 10 goals of the year? No way. Messi's scored many better goals and Iniesta has provided many better assists. And I'm pretty sure it's the best 10 goals of the calendar year, not the footballing season.

Agreed. He used his blonde bonce to good effect.

I don't think Messi scored a better goal last year, honestly. Yes Iniesta has had better assists, and so has Messi with goals, but its the combination of the 2 that really makes the goal special for me. It's not like he hasn't done it before, he did something very similar in 2006 against Panathinaikos, but this one beats that by miles.
