F1 is a boring racing game.

I've come to this conclusion. After playing F1 for ages I've discovered it's tedious and boring, I have to play on the lowest amount of laps, 11, due to it's boringness. I've tried it for ages but can't get into it, a number of reasons are I'll be driving and Alonso will decide to break 20 metres before the chicane which results in me hitting him so I get a penalty. Fuck's that about? Also, when you're on lap 5 and go to turn a corner and randomly spin off placing you in last place still to pit. There seems to be no rewards, some annoying bloke telling me pointless shit. I much prefer games like Forza and Need for Speed where you can upgrade, customize your cars to their preference without getting the same car, but faster, to compete in the same tracks. I like F1, but the game is not for me. Anyone else feel the same?

F1 is alright but it can get a bit boring. There's not much excitement when the cars are stuck to the road like glue, that's why I prefer Shift 2.

Yeah it's pretty good IMO. Online can be a bit of a crash-fest though.

F1 Championship Edition is/was better than F1 2010 in my opinion.

Grid seems like a pretty decent racing game. I haven't got it, but the demo is class.

GRID >>>>>>>> everything else.

But yeah, it can get boring if you aren't really into F1 in the first place.

problem with f1 is that AI is to stupid and to crap

it is ridiculous that i dont even have to do qualifying and can still win races with worst car on grid

online can be veryfrustrating with those noobs that try to slam you but if u race with friends or other good players that are clean then it is really fun, probably my favorite racing game since need for speed most wanted but online play only

f1 2011 should be better

GRID was my all time favourite racing game, I got to the top rank online and pretty much did everything you could on it. Mazing game.

The games not too bad and I still like playing it, but I know what you mean.

Every season feels exactly the same, the others drivers feel to computerised and not real. There is no incentive to go out and win the title apart from the large amount of gamerscore you'll get.

They don't, They appear on the track but the finishing lap time is just a random generated one, Codemasters got caught out and eventually admitted it


For the first game from Codemasters overall it was a pretty decent game and is a good to base to build on for 2012 L)

I never knew that the AI don't compete. I had my suspicions when I was driving about overtaking them and their lap times were similar to mine, but I never thought they didn't actually compete. That's poor.

The actual racing aspect of the game is good, but the rest of the stuff outside of the races is very poor.

The way other teams show interest in you is poor. After winning the world title in my first season, I expected bigger teams than Sauber to be sniffing around. Press conferences are also so repetitive after you've done about three or four of them.

F1 games wont be complete until theres Safety Cars, KERS, Rear Wing etc all in the game. Looking forward to F1 2011 though.
