Re: WWE Chat Thread
Blame gimmick on creative mostly, as if they have nothing to do or given shit stories they won't go over with the crowd as either heel or face. Wrestling I would say is just WWE's style. They prefer storylines to matches IMO, obviously you do get the odd match that is class no but again IMO not like TNA. I still believe if any of those went to TNA/ROH or any where else they would show off their true in-ring ability. But I do suggest trying to find matches outside of WWE on YouTube if you can and have the time. It may change your view, it may not but you get to see them outside of their WWE personas etc.

Re: WWE Chat Thread
Well I love Sheamus' outside persona. Makes me wonder how I will regard him if he has a face run, probably like him too much to change my opinion. It's not great that my opinion can be changed by something that doesn't represent the real person, but that's just how I role. Besides, it's sometimes fun to hate faces like Cena. Rare moments though.

Re: WWE Chat Thread
Can't I like Sheamus without being Irish? Anyway, I'm half English, half Sri Lankan. Wrestling's rather popular back there, as it takes some time for them to realise it's a work.

Re: WWE Chat Thread
Can still remember back when Edge took out Cena and took his belt or something, bloodying him up in the process, (didn't actually watch it just going by what I read) there was mass hysteria in my class. John Cena's dead!!!

Re: WWE Chat Thread
I like Sheamus and I'm English To be honest I automatically like any home grown (including ROI) talent that makes it over in the two big companies. It's nice to see a few around now, and include Regal still on commentary we have Drew, Wade, Mason, Sheamus in WWE and TNA (did have Desmond Wolfe until got released for health reasons) have Magnus (Oblivion from the UK Gladiators), Doug Williams and Winter (Katie-Lea Burchill from WWE), so that is 8 including Regal and excluding Wolfe

He's in a feud with Swagger at the moment, so he's on RAW every week. I'm surprised you haven't seen him.

Man, seeing old Cena videos when he was at Smackdown makes me realise how badass he was, RAW has seriously ruined him.

I think he was generally more liked as a heel when he had that rapper persona

This. It wasn't his move to RAW, it was his face turn and gimmick change coupled with the fact he was pushed down our throats constantly, and still is. Plus, he can only do a few moves, which helps a lot of the older male fans hate him more. The change to PG and everything kid friendly didn't help either, since Cena's the kiddie hero and kids are what they are aiming for, Cena was always going to be the face of the company and be pushed even more while squashing talents in the process (Wade Barrett at the end of their feud for example).

He does a gutwrench powerbomb, don't know if he did that on ECW
Might watch SD tonight, haven't seen the spoilers and I'm probably staying in tonight

Doubt it. He's just out for himself I think, just like when Christian pulled him off Orton the week before. I like him like that. Just hope when he becomes the champion, he doesn't get booked as the cowardly heel like back during his first title reign.

If he means Swagger then yes he still does the gutwrench powerbomb as well as the ankle lock. If he means Evan Bourne (he was on ECW also) then yes he still does Air Bourne. So basically yes to both guys as I don't which one he means.

Could see that coming... thought it would be a gauntlet match though.
So VKM screws Cena out of the title on sunday, saying that he's sided with Punk all along?
And he changes the belt

CM Punk . he's a beast on the mic.
i wonder why they keep going on about Punk leaving with the title? Maybe it's part of his real contract something about being a guaranteed champion, and he actually will, idk.
looking forward to sunday though

It's the WWE. Don't be surprised if Cena wins and there is no cash in from a MITB winner. But, Punk may win then lose via a cash in or Cena win then lose via cash in. Or what I hope: Punk wins then beats a MITB winner.
