Re: Game of Thrones Thread
I have the first one and I was reading it at the same time as I was watching the show, but I thought fuck it and just went with the show - it's more dramatic - music, visuals, etc.
IDK..
do you watch it?

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
no I don't watch it. I like to read the book before I watch a program (if it has a book) but I'm not sure
things are financially tight for me at the moment because I'm saving up for many things like new clothes and that to make myself more appealing for Julia
I currently have roughly $1500 and the boxset of the books is currently $60 on TradeMe with Free Shipping so it would be $60 out of my budget but also prevent me from buying like a game if I was bored as I would have a book to read

Or download the show for free!
Watch a couple of episodes and see how you like it..
The book is probably really good (as they usually are), but you'll miss out on the amazing show

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
I read the book before I watched The Godfather and the movie seemed very very average.

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
The teaser isn't really spoilerish.
It's just the Eulich talking to the dwarf about the prospects of being hand of the king, nothing we didn't already know.
edit: Actually, don't watch it. You might spoiler yourself with some other flashcuts if you are that picky.

Only a month away. Till then I have Spartacus to keep me going. Fuck man, I'm going through my favourite part of the TV year.
Can't wait to see Natalie Dormer and Merlin in their new roles.

Blu-ray out today. If it has extended scenes, I have to get a hold of it. If not, I have to get a hold of it.

I'd gladly download a torrent of the blu-ray version. Any links? Or you think it is too early?

Re: Game of Thrones Thread
You know... It is possible Ned is still alive.
In the books, Sansa and Cercei both were behind Ned during his execution and Ned never turned around, and Arya barely recognized him while in the crowd, whilst later when Joffrey takes Sansa to his head, Sansa also said she did not recognize him. When his bones were brought to Winterfell, Catelyn also said they were to small to be Ned's.
Is it possible Varys decided to do a switch-a-roo and send Ned to the Free Cities for whatever reason? (To help Daenerys' invasion maybe?)
Should probably spoiler any answers to this.

I still havent seen the first season. Is it really worth watching? I mean I'm into these types of medieval settings.
