I think I'm going to deposit the togepi you get from the egg in HG. I somehow like Pidgeot better than Togekiss and they're similar of types. Only difference is that Togekiss is way stronger and has a high special attack base and Pidgeot is more attack-based. Pidgeot has so much more charisma, though. Should've been more clear. I didn't mean normal-typed Pokemon, but Pokemon most people wouldn't give much attention to, i.e. Pidgey and Sandshrew.

i'm just going to go back on the PokeWalker and hopefully get another one with a good nature.. then if it fails, i'll go straight to the Chansey breeding with ditto.
Is Chansey/Blissey even a good idea to use in the story? or would it be such a pain to level up and keep alive?
i've noticed already, that having a party of 5-6 kind of sucks.. always trying to keep them all leveled at a respectable level to fight mons around them. really slows you down.
