Overall, it was a satisfying experience. The story was made it at worthwhile. I really do think the game play was too easy.
It pains me to read this, I haven't a clue who any of them are. I had so much love for the first 151 Pokemon and then it started to go downhill from there.
Except it didn't go downhill. You just got older.

Have any of you guys done a Nuzlocke run?
I'm doing one on my Soul Silver at the moment.

Well, here's a link to the about page from the creator that gives a pretty good backround to the challenge and the comics he's made.

I tried heartgold on NoSGBA. Thought I got it working, but no luck. Sucks, because heartgold and soulsilver are the best pokemon games yet. Somehow I get my saved file to be corrupt all the time.

So far as I've understood it most copies of Heart Gold and Soul Silver have something wrong with them, even if they're patched. I've tried most and usually they freeze but sometimes the saving gets messed up. It's quite odd, they're the only roms I've ever had trouble with. Good thing my girlfriend got me Soul Silver for our anniversary a while back. ;U
@JK: Doesn't No$ have savestates that you could use in stead of actual saving in the game? It's an ugly solution but it's still a solution.

Like I said, I after considerable amount of time found a working copy + codes and uploaded them somewhere on this thread. Razz

    Yeah, savestats don't work, sadly.

I use your copy Polska, works perfectly for me, but I just can't seem to save the game. Everytime I try to continue the file's corrupted.

Perhaps it's got something to do with the fact that I don't understand a word of what said in the ReadMe file in the Patcher folder. Could you explain step by step what I have to do after I've downloaded from your link?

Played Pokemon Blue, played Pokemon Platinum, then bought Pokemon White [or black? idk]

Haven't picked up my DS for about.. 4 months though.. but when I was playing.. it was all about

    RNGing.

    [Random Number Generator]

    http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83057

with a seperate system on your computer, you can basically manipulate what Pokemon show up on your system, since if you didn't know already.. depending on the date, time, spot of the game.. a certain pokemon with a certain nature, ivs, and evs.. will ALWAYS be at that spot [better explanation is in the link]

Basically what I've been doing the entire time I've played Black/White.. is RNG every Pokemon available in the game.. to have the perfect version of that character.

    It's epic.

[Yes, I'm awesome at this game.. I might pick it back up to see where I'm at and clean up my current save]

I tried to RNG on Platinum but it seemed to complicated.
Once you get the hang of it how long would it take to find what your looking for (On Black) ?

it is pretty complicated.. took me about 2 months to perfect it.

honestly, once you are solid at it.. the part that takes the longest is finding the ideal 'seed' you are looking for for the certain Pokemon, with a date/button combo easy enough to hit.

getting them in the game is usually the easy part, if you can do it all correctly.

RNGing for eggs is the real fun..

I'd rather not then.. seems too complicated.

Do you care about EVs/IVs etc. ? I was a competitive freak trying to breed perfect pokemon with good IVs, Natures and then EV Training them.

I cba anymore, just play the game for fun.

I'll also be replacing my DSi XL with a 3DS in March or April when I move to Canada so heres hoping we get a new Pokemon game on the 3DS soon

I use to not care.. back before I found out about them.. but now.. I care about Nature more than anything else. But in-game.. no, I don't care about iv's and what ev's my Pokemon get.

Which is why I went to RNG.. so I don't have to waste countless hours trying to get a certain Pokemon/ivs/evs... I can just manipulate the game LEGALLY and get them.

Even got Thundurus with beautiful IV's.

I had the 3DS.. but ended up selling it... it was a waste of a purchase for me. Still sticking to my Pick Nintendo DS Lite

Might go get my DS now and see what's up.
