The Pokémon Thread

I just finished the whole 5th gym with Grotle only and he evolved into Torterra after the fight with the gymleader. This alone just makes you love that pokemon so much. Now training my whole team to level 30~ish.

Okay, I officially dislike Zoroark with his lame defense and special defense stats. I wanna try to get Umbreon in my team, but I know it has poor offensive stats. Would it have any use for me, because I don't do competitive?

Depends on the rest of your team, try and build a good balanced team to use against the Elite Four.


Against the Psychic one - Use pokemon with Dark/Ghost moves
Against the Fighting one - Use Pokemon with Flying/Psychic moves
Against the Ghost one - Just use a mixture of psychic/dark/ghost moves
Against the Dark one - Use Fighting/Ghost


Types such as fire/water/electric etc aren't really needed for the Elite Four which is quite well played because when making the game they expect you to have them. Also remember to have your levels around 45-50. This is simply so you can actually survive hits from anything you're battling against.

Look around victory road, use EXP Share on anything with a low level and try and find trainers you haven't fought yet(There all over victory road). There's a rare candy somewhere in there too.

I've fought them all and found it already.

I will use the EXP share though. My Samurott isn't getting much with it now anyway.

EDIT: The EXP Share turned out to be a Lucky Egg.

EDIT 2: I've got EXP Share now.

I beat the E4 and everything and can't be bothered to do anything else. Had a quick look at Black City and the other places but they're rubbish.

It's when I put cheats in. I caught a Hitmonlee called Zigzagoon and it restarted.
