Kevin Sinfield is a kicking machine.
One of my mates was talking like Warrington had got to the final. He was complaining that he couldn't go see professor green because the Grand Final was on the same date, guess he doesn't have to worry about that now.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Great atmosphere in the Wigan end tonight, not sure if it came through on the TV but there was pretty much constant singing.
Shame to see Maguire's reign end on a low, but I'm not too bothered, we got the challenge cup this year anyway. Felt like we had a good chance to win tonight, but fair play to Saints. Not really sure who I want to win in the final.
Think we'll be stronger next year if we recruit a few good players, I'd like to see a new Centre, Prop, Second Row and possibly a new 6. That's to Coley, Hoffman, Deacon and the centre is because we probably have a salary cap gap there since we sacked Gleeson. It'll be nice to see Fielden again, he was one of our better players last year and we had to do without all year.

Probably Shaun Wane will take over, hopefully he just keeps up the same stuff as Maguire. He's already managed like two games for us, think we demolished both teams when he was in charge. I dunno about the National League, don't really follow it. Youth is an option though. We've got a couple of players who could do well. I'd be happy to give them more of a chance but it might hurt our short term chances.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
I think your team is quality atm but i just think you need 1 or 2 new forwards.
Our team for next year hopefully.
1 Patten
2 Broughton
3 Gleeson or Gibson
4 Joel Moon (When he returns from his injury)
5 Williams
6 Holdsworth or Mark Sneyd.
7 Matty Smith or Theo Fages
8 Boyle
9 Godwin
10 Shannan McPherson
11 ( New forward)
12 (New forward)
13 Wild
Bench
14 Adamson
15 Neal
16 (TBC)
17 (TBC)
If we fill the spaces right we could have a great squad! As atm that team has got some great quality and our wing partnership i think is one of the best in the league

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Yeah, with the new stadium, coach and some investment you could do really well in the near future. There's a few good players already in your squad, add a few more and you'd be playoffs no doubt.
I just remembered I have £50 on Sam Tomkins to be man of steel, find out if he wins it tonight.

Champions yet again, this is all to easy! Cracking atmosphere as well, almost on par with football which I've never seen before really.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Leeds deserved it for sure, we will be there next year .
three questions
Was it full or near to full?
Did the Saints fan actually sing for once?
Where was the atmosphere coming from? as i saw a lot of fans sat down

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
69000 so it was quite full, only a couple of areas had blocks of empty seating from what I could see. I couldn't really hear the Saints fans seeing as we were at opposite ends, could only hear Leeds fans around me. There was a fair bit of singing in our end but we had to sit down and sing cause everyone else sits down. Stood up at some points though which was a lot better.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Ah decent crowd then more than last year i think i think we will surprise a few next year and if we did get to the final (No chance probably but meh) we would bring a hell of a lot.
Saints fans have always been shit though so they probably didn't sing that much
Best fans in the super league by far are
Leeds
Hull Kr
Wigan
Castleford
Huddersfield make some decent noise same with Catalans
With the fans we have i think our support is top quality.

He would probably be a good signing for any super league team, if they could get the work permit.

He'll be good at the Cowboys, Warriors or Catalans, wouldn't have the media watching his every step, it was successful when Willie Mason went to the Cowboys, none of his bad boy stuff went on

I just found the 2006 Super League review, but it wont play on my dvd.
I think either that one, or 2010 was my favorite ever season.

Nice kit that going back to the traditional look, got a booklet yesterday on information about season tickets and instead of having one set price they are charging the same for each stand but you go for different memberships for example premium gets you a free away game.
We are playing you in a friendly on 24th January.
