Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
good race,
1.vettel once again just unstoppable, even without kers he won this race so easily
2.button race pretty well considering he was running hard tires for a long time and had to deal with oversteer problems
3.heidfield, nice surprise. good defensive driving
4.webber lol epic failed start and went down to 11 and had 4 pit stops on top of no kers, so to come back to 4th is pretty beastly. i would say if he had kers and did not start so badly he would of easily becoming second in this race and maybe challenge vettel
5.6. massa and alonso, massa was consistant until near the end, alonso had problems with his rear wing or something, he was beasting for a long time and then just got swamped after a bad pit stop
7. hamilton, lol very bad race for him, he start off pretty well but just got slower and slower as the race went on and then went off track near the end, mcclaren saying there was no problem with the tire pressure so is a mystery how he was so slow

What happened to Hamilton . Vettel just seems like he is king of F1 atm and he seems to manage his engine well.
Up the Vettel

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
What a weird weekend. Thought Lewis might do it aswell, qualified perfectly but Heidfield pretty much fucked his race up. His overtake when he done like 2 cars at once
Woulda been interesting to see Hamilton on the soft tires against Vettel without KERS. The harder ones just wern't working for Lewis.
It's fuckin BOLLOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that Lewis got a 20 second time penalty?!!??!!? When Massa was doing the exact same thing in Melbourne vs Button. Yeah ok they done Alonso aswell but it made no differenceo n where he finished, surprise surprise.
Bring on China.

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
Also said in NOTW that Hamilton will get a contract for life offered to him by McLaren. No way he'd accept that when he knows Red Bull want him, he's also said there would be no agro if he was to team up with Vettel. He's pretty much opening the door for Red Bull to offer him one after next season when his contract with McLaren is up..

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
It'd be shit if Hamilton moved to Red Bull.
The best three drivers in F1 are Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso and all are at the best three teams, Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari. It makes it that much better, the rivals are all in rival cars too. It would take the sting out of it if Hamilton went to Red Bull, it's like Torres going to Chelsea, it's just not right.
I'd like to see next season-
Red Bull- Vettel~Kubica
Ferrari- Alonso~Perez
McLaren- Hamilton~Button
Renault- Webber~Massa

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
Hamilton and Vettel - RB
Button and Rosberg - McLaren
Alonso and Kubica - Ferrari
Massa and Kobayashi - Renault
Webber and Shitemacher - Mercedes
Maybe swap the 4 drivers between Renault and Mercedes around.

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
kubica - webber swap was highly plausible before his injury since there is a lot of mutal team work between renault and red bull since both use same engine and actually have worked together in the past but i dont know right now
perez to ferrari? that isjust not possible he has talents but still just a rookie. cant even compare him to other rookies in their time like vettel and hamilton who were rookies when they broke into f1 but were developed by red bull and mcclaren in their youth system since they were young kids. perez and also sauber are completely funded by carlos slim. he will not leave sauber for some time

Perez is Ferrari bound, and actually he is similar to Vettel and Hamilton as Perez came through the Ferrari academy and is currently driving for Sauber who use the same engine as Ferrari, he's being blooded in to F1 and within time, whether it be next year or in 5, he'll be driving for Ferrari.

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
carlos slim is not going to waste his money on propping up a team just so he can boost one guys career. sauber would have arranged to keep perez for a long time because once perez leaves, slim will have no interest in propping sauber and they lose his money. to many teams go bankrupt from desicion like these i dont think sauber is naive enough to throw all egg into basket so to speak

Cant wait for Formula 1 to be back after this weekends one. There are quite a few of them which are normal times for us in the UK at 1pm. Im fed up of not watching the race live and not seeing the build up.
