If you talking about Cannavaro 2006, I'd have to disagree. He was very good, and if you put in work like he did in the biggest stage...you deserve to be crowned best player.
    Buffon was better in 2006.
    Why do you say that?

IIRC, he only let in one or two goals in the World Cup and Champions League.

And Cannavaro would've been part of that defence, lol.

Whereas Cannavaro was playing for completely different teams that conceded countless goals.

So you think Buffon would still not concede if it wasn't for Cannavaro?

Saying Buffon should have won it isn't ridiculous by any means though. He had a great season and a stunning World Cup as well. I think he came in second place for the Ballon D'Or.

It isn't, I was just trying to understand why he thought Buffon was better. Buffon was good, but to be honest, that defense he had kept him from conceding goals.

Read a bit on the E group statements. Basically no one knows anything about Nordsjælland, while they know all the teams well, i guess they will be surprised when they see videos as all i've seen said is that danish teams are generally physical. Nordsjælland are closer to Ajax or Swansea's possessive play-style than the physical aspect Copenhagen did fairly well with, if they think they will be physical i guess we could see a surprise or two in that group.

Gonna try to go for the Ajax - Manchester City game on October 24th, the Real Madrid games will most likely be the same as the last 2 group stages, maybe even more one sided as our defense has only lost experience over the last 2 years.

How the fuck were Manchester City in pot 2 and Dortmund pot 4? Dortmund have won the German league two seasons in a row while City have won the Premier League title once. Dortmund have won a European competition as recently as 2002 and the Champions League in 1997.. City were playing in the Championship in 2002.. Both were knocked out in the group stage last season. scratch

What happened before 2008-09 is irrelevant in terms of this year's club rankings.

All of them. When Chelsea play on Tuesday, the other 4 play on Wednesday and vice versa. What's the point of this team can't be in this group because of TV when it ends up like that? Laughing

At least you'll be on TV. No doubt we'll get shafted. Doesn't help when this is the TV channel's attitude.

ITV are shite for CL. God knows how many fixtures there are on a matchday, and they only get one game.

They announced last night their first game is Madrid-City, was looking forward to that until I found out our games are on the same night as theirs. Neutral

Obviously when they're at home, we're away..
