It did in 2002, 2006 and now 2012.

2002 was deserved though, he was the best player in the world. 2006 and 2012 were simply wrong.

You people underrate him, he really is one of the best players in the world. Messi is the best overall, of course, but since Spain won the Euros this year and Iniesta was a big part of that - it's not that big of a surprise.

What do you mean "you people", he was in no way a big part of Spain's success... I could name Ramos, Alonso and Alba just as important as Iniesta. You don't know anything about me to conclude my opinion on Iniesta

I'd go to Dortmund personally as the atmosphere there will be like nothing you have seen before but you did go Munich last season didn't you? So perhaps Madrid would be the best option. shifty

Speak for yourself. I know for a fact I wouldn't. I've been passed on for accolades in favor of people I know I was more deserving than and I applauded them publicly. It's called character. Ronaldo doesn't have any. He's a selfish egomaniac who is too in love with himself to show any humility or grace.

I attack him when he acts like a douche. That's it. I applaud him when he makes sick plays and I say "what a cunt" when he pulls his thigh out and drools on himself. I'm totally objective. If Messi acted the same way, I'd equally criticize.

This post is proof of how hard it is to predict these draws. Too bad you forgot the television rules before you made this, you cannot have three premier league teams playing on the same match day. Then you labeled the groups 1-8 rather than A-H.Laughing

Tbf, he did say no particular group order.

With all the TV shit determining which team can be in which group, you've got absolutely no chance of predicting it correctly.

Why couldn't we have been in the group Arsenal got, we were put straight into Group H when we were the penultimate team out. shifty

If you talking about Cannavaro 2006, I'd have to disagree. He was very good, and if you put in work like he did in the biggest stage...you deserve to be crowned best player.

Did Messi win that award? My DVR stopped recording a couple minutes early because the presentation was running late. I find it strange if he did because I could imagine how everyone would react if Drogba or Anelka managed to win the Asian Player of the Year award.

It's a sad state of affairs when the whole situation of the greatest club tournament in the world is determined by the fucking TV.
